Home Remedies for the Treatment of Eye Stye
- Rub clove spice in water and apply it over the stye to relief pain.
- Use a grated potato as a poultice to reduce swelling in inflamed eyes.
- Slit an aloe leaf lengthwise and place the pulpy side on the sore eye.
- Boil 1 teaspoon of coriander seeds with a cupful of water like an herbal tea preparation to wash the eyes 3-4 times a day.
- 1 teaspoon of turmeric in 2 cups of water until it reduces in half. Cool and strain 4-5 times through a fine muslin. Apply as eye drops 3-4 times a day
- Take a cup of water. Dissolve 2-3 granules of alum in it. Use as an eyewash.
- Guava leaves, warmed and placed on a warm damp cloth, and then used as a compress; reduce the redness, pain and swelling.
- Boil a handful of acacia leaves in two cups of water to make a decoction and apply it as compress on the eyelids
In rare cases, surgical drainage of the stye may be necessary if the stye is not responding to treatment or the infection is recurrent.
There are also a wide range of non-prescription products and topical medications for an eye stye, mostly made up of petroleum jelly and other emollients to keep the eye moisturized. These medications are useful to relieve the pain and stop the tearing, redness, itching, burning and stinging, but cannot treat the infection associated with the eye stye.

warm water compressed with a wash rag.
the stye is a clogged oily pore.
There is actually an Old Wives Tale that says you get a stye from peeing on the side of a road. So for future references dont do this.

My daughter had terrible styes for the longest time when she was a teenager. I took her to the doctor and he recommended warm compresses several times a day.

a house treatment should be to position a very warmth damp towel over the realm. the nice and cozy temperature will improve blood bypass to the contaminated section. think about to make certain your clinical professional if it would not advance in a million-2 days. I used to get those plenty after I wore eyeliner. be effective to sparkling off your makeup suitable on the end of the day because the makeup can clog the tiny pores around the eyelids.

Heat up a washcloth in the microwave until it's pretty warm and hold it on your eye. Do this a few times a day and it will probably start getting smaller and then go away.

wash the eye out with tepid water once a day or whenever it bugs you.
if it hurts and it's swollen, get a warm tea bag and gently put it on the effected eye.. don't burn yourself now.
green tea bags are the best in my experience. time is the best cure..
i popped a style once, BIG MISTAKE!
so just keep the lid comfortable and baby your eye until it goes down and the eye don't hurt.
time will fix it and keeping the eye/lid clean.

depends on what type of infection you have
if its bacterial you can use an over the counter antibiotic but if you have a viral infection then you should go to the doctor immediately.....if there is swelling behind the eye socket it can force the eye out of the socket, dont mean to frighten you but i would go to the doc.....i dont like them either but they are there for a reason.....

Use a heating pad(on med. heat) a few times a day, keep it clean using visine or other drops if necessary, and give it time. Try not to stress as well, I know it is impossible but try stress relieving techniques like breathing and counting.

Depends. I'm usually able to gently scrap it off with a fingernail. Be careful though.
