Dear Tara,

Being a parent, or "Mommy" myself is one of the most endearing feelings I have ever known. All of a sudden, your own Mother just became the smartest woman on the planet. It's funny how much we disagree with our own parents until we become one.

Then there's the flip side. I won't get into that right now, because your baby is so young and you won't be able to fathom your feelings, let's say 10 to 15 years down the road.

My babies are 16 and 21, respectively. It seems like only yesterday, they were 4 months old. Enjoy this feeling now, it truly is bliss.

Regards,
Raylene♥

I think most peoples lives change dramatically once they have a child, and I am not just talking about getting up 5 times a night. My entire outlook on life changed once I had my daughter (now 6 years old). I realized I was responsible for another human being, not only financially, but I could completely affect the outcome of another persons life. And all the decisions I had made in my life had come to light, all the things I had done before she ever entered the world are still present in shapeing the life she will lead. I began to make better decisions, and realized that I have to make something of myself if I ever expect her to make something of herself. I am someones role model. It's life changing, and in a great way. Parents don't always have the right answers and do everything right, but I try my hardest to make sure that my little girl knows whats right and wrong and good and bad in this world. The best way to do so is leading by example.

Had four babes, eldest 23yrs(has made me a grandmother) youngest 20mths. Mostly raised my children on my own which was very hard, lots troubled times. Had great family support along the way at different times. Regrets none, love all my kids equally, they have all enriched my life so much. Love being a parent, love family life. Babies have a way of bringing perspective to your life that nothing else on earth can come close to. Enjoy your lil girl, there's lot's fun stuff yet. All the best.

I am a parent too. I have a little girl and like you she made our life complete. It's hard sometimes but as long as you have love in the family, you'll get along well. Just try not tospoil your child because that would make things bad.

I have a son that is 24 and a daughter that is 21. My kids mean more to me than just being my kids. They have always been great kids. Never caused me any trouble in the stores when they were growing up like the kids today do in the stores. They have always made me very proud of them. They have always mined me and helped me. I raised my kids alone as I got a divorce from their abusive dad when they were very young. My kids ARE my life and I love them both very much.Don't get me wrong, they were not perfect angels, but all in all they were and are good kids!!!

being a parent is the greatest joy that there is. It changes your life. They bring you joy and happiness but when they are older they can bring you sadness. But there is nothing like the first time they say your name or I love you. Mom of four and one on the way.

Being a parent is the best underpaid, under appreciated jobs there is. I wouldn't change a thing!!! I love being a parent. I have a teenaged son who is hilarious. He acted more responsible at age 6 than he does at age 14.
