She may have ALopecia(i believe there are 3 different kinds of alopecia which is a fancy name for hair loss). Her hormones could be going crazy, maybe she has too much Testosterone. She should see an ENdocrinologist(hormone doctor) and a Dermatologist(for the hair). If she has a dry scalp, try using Nizoral shampoo. She will need to get blood work. It could also be an vitamin or iron -deficiency problem too. Good Luck

She may have a Vitamin B deficiency; is she eating well? Also, alopecia is a disorder that can show up around age 14, but the hair would simply fall out, not break at the root. I would say wait for the doctor and not wash it with anything harsh or yank on it with a brush. Good luck.

Hair loss affects both men and women. Here are some natural remedies that can help boost hair growth: https://bitly.im/aMJsc While genetics plays a role, there are other factors, including: hormonal imbalances, an underactive thyroid gland, nutrient deficiencies and insufficient scalp circulation.

Cancer can't make your hair fall off. The medicine for cancer is what makes the hair fall off. If you or your parents have hair loss, it might be genetics.

You should get it checked, I had the same problem and the doctors linked to stress. They told my mother to take me to see a syc. After a few visits it stoped.
