before screaming 'consumer fraud' you need to give us more details.
did you buy from a private seller ? if so you probably bought it 'as is' and don't have many options.
did you sign the title ? if it was reported as a flood vehicle it would say so right on the front of the title (usually in tiny, little letters, barely visible to the untrained eye )
did YOU run a car-fax or other report BEFORE you bought?

did you buy from an independent used car lot ? If they get in trouble they can just shut down & re-open later, or elsewhere

If you bought from a reputable NEW CAR DEALER, or NATIONAL USED CAR COMPANY, they have much more to lose & will not KNOWINGLY sell you this vehicle.

These dealers will do every check there is to make sure they aren't selling merchandise that could damage their reputation &/ or make them lose their business.

If they do sell refurbished / rebuilt / reconstructed vehicles they have to disclose it to you.

please look over your paperwork CAREFULLY & make sure it hasn't been 'disclosed' there , first, before you take further action ..

By the way, to the other answerers who keep refering to the "lemon law'" it is a law that affects ONLY new vehicle sales to the original owner, during the first 12 months or 12,000 miles of ownership. Does not apply to pre- owned or flood vehicles.

You need to contact your state Attorney General's Office and report the fraud, immediately. They will be able to advise you of the procedure and/or how to find a complaint.

Good Luck!
