That would largely depend upon what that 13 year old girl does around the home to earn that allowance.
I have a 13 year old son. He puts the dogs out and brings them back in 2 times every day. He also puts away the clean dishes from the dishwasher daily and helps his father take the trash to the dumpster at the end of the road twice a week. For this he gets $10/wk.
If he does extra things to help out, then he gets extra money.

Here is what my father did.
Dishes = $3
Laundry = $5
Keeping my room clean (all week) = $12
Mowing the lawn (2x a month) = $15
then for report card grades it was
a=$15
b=$5
c=$-1 (yep I had to pay for anything under a B)
This was in the 80's. But this way it rewards her for work. Your not just giving her money. I might add that it really helped me in the long run. Looking back now, im glad I had to earn my keep. Sit down with your child and figure out what is reasonable, also what you can afford. Do not just give her money.

It all depends on the chores that she does around the house. The parent and child should sit down and talk about each chore and how much they think it is worth doing. Once you come to a agreement on the prices that should help you choose how much she gets. If she doesn't do a chore she shouldn't get paid for it. I hope this helps.

$10 per week with bonuses for good report cards. This must be dependent upon chores, school performance and at home behavior. The amount could be reduced to zero with violations of rules that have been set forth.

Well, that's truly tough at thirteen, gotta factor in 1 movie or similar per week, 1 eating out, and then there's the whole make-up/clothes issue, does she do chores?

Whatever money she gets from babysitting and/or landscaping or mowing people's lawns. Not sure how much you get for doing those things these days, but when I was 13 that was the only time I had money was earning it. Allowance makes you weak and misunderstand the world. No one owes you anything. How much do you pay for rent each month?

Consider what expenses she is likely to have. Will she be using the allowance to buy school lunch, snacks, clothes, cosmetics, movies?
Does she tend to save money or spend it right away?
Does she have a way to earn money by doing extra chores?
Imagine living her life for a few days and consider how much money she really needs and where it is going.

Depends on how much Mommy and Daddy make. If they are rich, minimum of $50 a week should be good enough for u. If they don't make that much money, then u better not ask for more than u need.

You don't need to get money.
That is so retarded you do chores for money, just get a regular job instead this way you get more than what your parents give you and you don't make your parents go into dept because of your slefish slef! give some respect to them and do them a favor and make your own money your own way. *lemonade stand *work @ a mcdonalds, they start hiring @ 14. I'm working there.
