During the wedding ceremony, the engagement ring goes on your right ring finger. After your husband places the wedding band on your left ring finger, then you casually place the engagement ring on your left ring finger. The wedding band is supposed to be closest to your heart.

You wear your wedding band closest to your heart. Your engagement ring goes on second to protect your band. If your band is not a wrap-around, you can even wear your engagement ring on your other hand after you are married.

First on goes your wedding ring, then the engagement band to "protect" the wedding ring.

The wedding band should be put on first. My reasoning... you can take your engagement ring off to clean it, or if you are doing something and you don't want to mess up your engagement ring you don't have to take off your wedding band.

Plus, your wedding band should be closer to your heart (that is what my sister told me!)

I don't plant on taking my wedding band off, so I will put it on before my e-ring.

your engagement ring comes of your left ring finger during the ceremony. You will wear your wedding band then you diamond, in that order.

No. Wedding Band, then the Engagement. Wedding Band makes you one and never ending so you want to wear it closest to your heart.

I think its whatever you are most comfortable with. Personally my e-ring is on then my wedding band. I do it this way because this is the order that I received my rings from my husband. I didnt take my e-ring off during the cermony. I maybe politically incorrect or whatever but I honestly think its what you are comfortable with.

I wear my E-ring first. I've had mine sized a few times and I am just afraid I will loose my e-ring. So my band helps keep it on my hand. Both rings were blessed in church so they both mean the same thing.

Thats up to you -- everyone wears it differently. Don't let anyone tell you that you are wearing it wrong. I wear my enagement ring to the back and the wedding band in the front.

I, too, did not take my ER off during the ceremony

They say your wedding band should go on first, that way it is closer to your heart.
