I would say, READ, and look within yourself and you will find God. I myself have no chosen religion and I am fine with that. I do believe in God. I know I love God and God loves me. I continue to read about many religions and none of them suit me so far. I think it is OK to just have faith.

As a Christian, I have found truth where the world offers none, I have found hope where the world offers none, and I have found salvation that the world cannot understand.
Christianity is a belief that God created the world, and humans sinned against him. He is perfectly righteous, and should have wiped us out, but because he loved us, he came down as a man to take the penalty for our sins.
In the end, I will fully confess that it comes down to faith. Once you put your faith in Christ, it changes your worldview. Things which people say don't make sense about the Bible suddenly start making more sense, because God is giving you sight. It doesn't mean you'll understand everything, but you'll start seeing things from God's side.
No other religion is like it. In every other belief, you have humans trying to reach God. In Christianity though, it's God reaching us because we are broken and can't reach him.
When looking for a religion, I might add, it is important not to look for a belief based off of postmodern views (I'm not assuming you are, but a fair warning is always good). Truth is not relative. Not all religions can be right. Somebody has to be wrong. What is right is not always comfortable. Because sometimes we are wrong. Truth is truth regardless. As you seek, be certain to remember that whether you like it, whether you feel comfortable with it, or anything else that is a want is irrelevant to what is.
I pray for God's guidance as you seek.
P.S. I did not go into all the details of Christianity, I do see many other Christian responses which I believe may also be helpful in understanding Christianity a little better. Especially the one right above me. And I'd add the Book of Romans as a good place to start as well.

If you are searching for the TRUTH found in the Bible. The faith should be identified by the fruits it produces. Your questions should be answered from the Bible not no one's opinion or thoughts. Many basic questions people are searching for, Who Is God? Who is Jesus? What is my purpose in Life? What happens at Death? Can the dead Live Again? Why does God permits wickedness? Do all good people go to Heaven? Is there a place call Hell? These are just a few questions peopel ponder over. If you want to learn more, then email me for the answers, and then you will know the TRUTH and then you can decide which religion is teaching the TRUTH because Jesus said there is only One Faith, One Lord, One Baptism Ephesian 4:5.

I would suggest you read John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believeth in him should not perish but have everlasting life.
Just pick up your bible and read it. Reading the word of God brings comfort to your soul if you have faith to believe it. Try talking to God just like you would talk to any friend. He really does listen. I think the bible is the only place you will find the answers you are seeking.
I can tell you that as a Christian I have found such peace in my life. When I go to sleep at night I do it with all confidence that if I don't awake in this world that where I go will be a much better place. My troubles seem so much smaller and I am always thankful for the simple things in life. God's Holy Spirit is a constant source of comfort in times of sorrow and a guide in times of decision.
I will pray for you.

I don't think you should "choose a religion" ! I believe everyone should be Spiritual. Embrace all that is good! Why should there be so many wars and arguments because of "religion"? Let all the mentors and spiritual leaders ( past, present , future) teach you. You really will feel the difference when you give-in to the positive energy that the creator has given you.

As I am a Catholic, I would recommend Catholocism. There are many wondeful aspects of it. It is a well-established religion that has an excellent track record of bettering the lives of the nations of people who embrace it.
I would show you the members of my congregation and their struggles and how thier faith helped them in good times and bad.
You can develop your own personal relationship with God and Jesus and the Holy Spirit. It's a very comforting and peaceful religion. And if you don't like the cultish aspects of it (going to church, saying prayers aloud, giving money to the church, etc) then that is okay too, you don't have to do them.
It is a wonderful and vast support system and I can go on and on...
I hope you find one that works for you!
God bless,
Billy!

Soul searching does not have to be religion searching. Your spirituality and your beliefs do not have to be dependent upon others. I urge you (only since you asked) to have your own faith and don't get caught up in all this crap that further divides humans from each other.

Stay away from religion and choose a relationship with Jesus. Some of the meanest people you will ever meet are involved in religion. Religion is just a substitute for the real thing, which is Jesus Christ.

you should choose islam.
because,
>Islam makes sense e.g. concept of oneness God (He Who created the eye of the mosquito is the One Who created the sun) , Messengers of God on the face of earth with the message of oneness of God and accountability in the hereafter, concept of Salvation through faith and deeds, concept of Prayers and Charity, fasting, etc.
>Islam is the only religion which teaches the existence of a one and only PERFECT God. A perfect God means that there is no sharer in His Nature and His Attributes:
> Because there is only one human race, there has to be one perfect way assigned by God for the human beings as a way of life. That is Islam which means submission to the will of God. "The Religion in the sight of God is Islam." (Quran 3:19)
>Islam has Practical Solutions for the Problems of Mankind. e.g. to reduce murder, rape, poverty. etc
Islam is a perfect religion which has nothing left to add or subtract. There is not a single teaching of Islam which is against humanity as a whole. All the good teachings which other religion speaks about is already present in Quran and sayings of Prophet Muhammad pbuh.
"This day I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and have chosen for you Islam as your religion (way of life)". [ Quran 5:3]
> Islam provides salvation and path to paradise forever.
There is no compulsion in the religion; Truth stands out clear from error; so whoso disbelieves in idols and believes in God, has laid hold of the most firm handle, which cannot break; and God is Hearing, Knowing.
Al-Quran (2:256)

I can't convince anyone to choose my religion. I can only answer the questions of those seeking the truth. That's between you and God. You can either accept him or reject him, but there's no in-between. Its your choice.
