The eliptical machine is the only machine I have found that helps me achieve this. It really puts you rear end at a nice level lol and tightens your legs definitely quickly...I notice results within the first week.

Yes it will ,but make sure that you stretch before hand and do a minimum of 20 minutes 3-5 times a week. Start with a lower setting 7-8 and start working your way up. You can do it! That nice lower section will start to show in two to three weeks.

The best thing for legs and buttocks is to walk on a treadmill at an uphill incline of at least 10, at a slow & steady speed.

Try to add in to your work out using the leg extension equipment at the gym, and also do walking lunges with small five pound weights in your hands.. Holding your arms straight down at your sides.. Use low weights on the machines.. No more than 25 pounds...â¥

Absolutely. But the best way to get shapely muscles is regular old resistance weight training. Without training a muscle to failure (i.e. going till you absolutely can't go anymore, per set), the muscle has no great incentive to grow. i don't use one, but i have a couples of friends who swear by them. they're both are very nicely built, esp. in the derriere.
also since the elliptical doesn't strain your knees you're less likely to injure yourself, which might keep your workout routines going.
squats, lunges, standing yoga poses, etc. can all really help the legs and bottom develop too.

It will help. Many modern ellipticals have specialized programs for developing specific muscle groups.
