My favorite prayers are those given by people who are being honest and caring and not reciting something...its coming from the heart.

"Lord, I believe. Help my unbelief." I don't know that this is any kind of a "Formal" prayer, but its something close to what I've read in the bible and it just rang out to me as an honest prayer.

The Hail Mary, even though I'm no longer Catholic.
A teacher in grade school told us one day that every time she saw an ambulance go by with its sirens and lights on that she said a quick Hail Mary for the person inside. I started doing it and have kept it up... Who knows if it helps, but I hope so.

When I was a child this was my favorite prayer:

Now I lay me down to sleep,
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.

Its been a long time, I hope I got it right.

The way my family says "Grace" -

It is "Rub-a-dub-dub,thanks for the grub, yea Jesus!

Sadly, I'm being serious here. We all raise our hands when we say "Yea Jesus". Mom and Dad always felt that Jesus would be a totally chill guy to hang with.
