My scalp as been itchy all summer with no dandruff, just itchy. Waht gives? I thought it was product build up so I stripped my hair of build up with a pre shampoo astringent and now it is itchy again.

could be lice, could be a yeast infection which usually shows up as dandruff. If you are swimming everyday, you might not see the lice because the chlorine will kill them. Try a shampoo for lice and see if that helps.

its probably sweat due 2 the hot weather. wash ur scalp daily. or use a shampoo like Head N Shoulders to cure that itchy scalp!

your scalp is probably dry. make sure you condtion your hair. and drink lots of water. your scalp could also be sunburned and that can cause it to itch. Try changing the products that you use and see if that helps.

if the water that you are washing it with is to hot it will danage your scalp
also since the summer is so hot you scalp may sweat so be sure you wash it daily
