First of all, you are not disputing the officer. You are disputing the manager of the store. Here's why: the officer responded to a call for service by a private business. The manager of that business told him that a person (you) had done something against store policy, and that they wished to issue a formal notice of trespass against you. The officer simply notified you that this private business did not want you on their property in the future, and even told you the reason that the business provided. Remember, the officer did not say that you were stealing, the officer was informing you that the manager said you were stealing. The officer, in this case, was basically serving as an official, legally binding, messenger.
It sucks that you can't get the specialty food that you need, but a business is private property and any official representative of that business (i.e.-anyone who works there) can legally ban you from their property for any reason they want to, provided it is not on grounds ruled by the courts as being discriminatory (race, religion, sexual orientation, etc.). If the manager said that you gave him an ugly look and sneezed on him, and he wants to trespass you, that is completely legal. To dispute the trespass notice, you must get into contact with someone from the business, someone over that particular manager's head, and tell them what is going on. If there is a senior manager or a local owner or something, that would be best. It's not going to be easy to convince them, but if there really is no tape, or, even better, if there is a tape that shows someone else doing it, you'll probably convince the higher up person to rescind the order of trespass, and you will be allowed back in the store. If they do decide to let you back, make sure that the manager who banned you is told that you are allowed back in the store, and if you can, get something signed and in writing that you can carry with you to the store if there are any problems. But if the higher ups from the store don't want to listen to you, they don't have to. It's private property. In that case, though, you can try reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
If all your attempts fails and you remain trespassed from the store, see if a friend or family member will get the specialty items that you need.
It may not seem fair and it may not seem right, but that's the law.

Well, you could if you really feel the need to press the issue, which I am not quite sure would be in your best interest to do so, go and get an attornet and file a civil motion. This is the thing, if the store owner does not want you in the store then he has that right, no law will change that, it is private property and unless you can prove that the reason is based on a civil rights violation such as race, gender, etc.. then you really have no recourse in so far as allowing you to go back in the store.
You may just want to chalk it up to a bad experience which sometimes happens or you could take it to court in which case the court may find the owner in violation however, it probably would not give you the right to enter his store again.

Some of it the paintings atmosphere. Like any process, the greater you do, the much more likely you're to get promoted. Well, the unhappy truth is that a cop with one incident treated in a month appears like a slacker in comparison to the cop with a dozen incidents treated within the identical month, although the only incident used to be monitoring down and arresting a suspect and the dozen incidents had been site visitors citations. How so much did earnings did each and every officer generate for the county--intent wherein I are living, all bills move to the county even if a town officer wrote the price tag. Any govt company or division likes having greater budget. So, although there is no such thing as a truly quota--and I do not consider there's an company that real has any--the officer with extra incidents appears to be extra at the process. Sad, however that is politics for ya. Also, site visitors offenders are a significant obstacle. As a ways as US highways move, there are roughly forty two,000 site visitors deaths consistent with yr. A colossal facet of the ones may also be immediately attributed to immoderate velocity and/or intoxication. I are not able to rely what number of tickets I have acquired in my existence [while the son of a nearby PD SGT], however I recognise I deserved each and every one among them intent I used to be, correctly, rushing. Well, ok all besides for that one wherein I used to be doing 31 in a 25MPH component to avenue. :P But, I used to be sixteen and police officers love bringing up young adults. Also, in a few cities, there simply could also be not anything else for the police officers to do. In my town, we would appear at persons humorous in the event that they referred to as the PD for a cop to return out and get the useless squirrel out in their driveway, or I'd with no trouble hold up on them and take a look at to do not forget to snort AFTER I hung up. [I used to be a 911 operator/dispatcher for eight years.] But in a the city simply to the south people, that is a criticism which will get an officer dispatched.

RJ nailed it on the head.
It's so sad that most people's first reaction is to sue someone or threaten to sue someone. Do you know how stupid you look when you say that. I hate when I'm in a store and hear some knucklehead arguing with the store employees and they break out the "I'll sue this store for every last dime" line. It makes them look pathetic.
Sometimes things happen is life that you don't like and don't have much control over.

Do not back down if you are right. Don't get angry either, it doesn't help your believability. Gently push. Offer to take a polygraph. Then threaten to sue. That is defamation of character at the very least. They will have to produce the evidence if you take them to court. They know that. Sometimes in a small town the mere suggestion of someone doing something like what you have been accused of can ruin your life. You will regret it if you don't clear this up. Peace.

There is no way to win with these bullies. They are on a power trip and will never admit that they are wrong.
Just be thankful that in America the cops rarely shoot you just because they don't like you.
We may have the best system in the world, but it is still flawed.
If you don't want to get arrested, you will have to travel the extra hour to buy what you need.
