He is right there, listening to you.

Make sure you are praying for the right things.

I am not going to try and convince you to believe anything you are not ready to believe. All I can do is tell you what I think.

First of all, I believe that God loves us and NEVER ignores us. He is always listening to your heart. As annoying as it can be sometimes, though, he is like a parent and he is not going to let us have the things we want if they will cause us harm in the long run. Try to look at the things you DO have.

Make sure, when you pray, you are asking for things that will be to your non-material benefit, too. I have prayed to God for material things, but I try to stick to things I need, like the money to get my car fixed. Praying to God to send a Playstation or a million dollars is a bit unreasonable. Sometimes the best things to ask for are help with a problem, along with the strength and courage to live, learn, and understand your disappointments in life.

A spiritual crisis is never an easy thing. Don't give up though. I don't want to sound preachy, but one thing that really helped me was when I prayed to God and asked him to help me understand his plan for me, and remember that sometimes, you don't always get what you want right away. Patience is not one of my strong points, and I pray for patience a LOT! *grin*

Try to have faith in yourself, believe that you are worth happiness and a lot of time, the things you DO get are even better than the things you thought you wanted. Be sure to also take the time to reach out and use your talents and gifts to help others. Doing this helps put things in perspective and helps you to feel better about yourself.

God is always there listening. We just have to have faith in Him otherwise you won't ever get anything that you ask for because:
-a double minded man is unstable in all his ways
-those that go to God must believe that He is(God) and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him
-faith is the substance of things hoped for,the evidence of things not yet seen
-Jesus promised that He will never leave us nor forsake us and that He will be with us even until the end of the world

Don' worry! As long as you pray according to His will(you know, don't ask for any evil thing) He will answer and help you...
"Don't be afraid,only believe"(Jesus said that)

Maybe if you took praying seriously you would actually get a response from God. I say you don't take it seriously because you said "maybe [God's] mail box is full."

Dearest Lawrence: To cut down on a four-page dissertation (!) I will answer as briefly as possible:

1. When we pray and do not receive - the cause is inside the subconscious level of our Minds. We are asking for something we believe with all our might we desire and need. But, in the subconscious region of Mind there is a blockage to Receiving.

There is sometimes a hidden "fear" of receiving what we have asked for. It may seem too miraculous. Or, if you had this thing you ask for, it may force you to deal differently, or on a new level with someone else. A physical healing, for instance, can propel you to have to handle a relationship you are in differently. For you no longer would relate to a particular person or circumstance as an ill person who must be treated with more care and consideration. The reasons in the subconscious Mind are many.

This is where the work truly comes in. The human ego Mind is not always loving. It is very capable of telling you "Seek . . ." but on a subconscious level is saying "but do not find!" It can and often is punishing.

The work to be done is to uncover, in quiet contemplation, what it is that would frighten you if what you asked for came to be!

Have great patience with yourself. Jesus is your intercessor to God. Pray through Him. Ask Him and let Him tell you what blockages you may have to receiving. For every prayer is answered the moment you are willing to receive it!

Sometimes, the Plan for you requires a different direction from what you are asking for. At times, the Plan takes longer in terms of linear Time - than it takes in the NOW of constant Eternity. This means the Holy Spirit and Jesus may see the answer to your prayer already accomplished in the NOW of eternity where they see all things occurring at once. But for you, inside of measured Time, it unfurls far more slowly.

The Father will give nothing that will harm His Child. He is a loving Father and will not, in His greater knowing , allow His Children to have something that will hurt them.

I hope some of the above is profitable to you in contemplation.

Know. If you know Jesus is God and that He will answer your prayers He will pay you more attention. Dreams could be in parables though just like Joseph and Daniel.

"For in him dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily."
-- Colossians 2:9

"Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?"
-- John 14:9

"Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you Before Abraham was, I AM."
-- John 8:58

"There are three essentials of the church: acknowledgment of the divine of the Lord, acknowledgment of the holiness of the Word [Bible], and the life which is called charity" (Divine Providence n. 259[3]).

You have issues that you can't overcome without admitting to yourslef that God (if there is one) isn't responsible. Get off your duff and do something to improve yourself...Take a class, learn something new, expand your knowledge by reading a book. You've got command of you and God isn't interveneing anytime soon. Get some self esteem think positively and move forward. Stop trying to put your miseries or problems off onto God. Yeah, it's good to look for positive energy from the collective conciousness of humanity (you label that God)...but to rely upon it for your life isn't good. PEACE!

What are you praying for? You can't ask God for something that he does not approve of, the answer will always be no. Find out what God approves of and pray accordingly, and you will get a "yes" answer.

Maybe hidden in your heart . . .
You will never have any answer by praying except from yourself.
Hope you don't ask for anything in prays. That's not the goal in fact.
Just follow your way if it makes you happy but don't wait for any sign.

The odds of any religion being correct are nill, especially one based on a book. How do you know if the only true religion isn't something being practiced by pigmies in Brazil? The rest believe in a lie.
