Think about it. You have to believe in something and honest politicians just don't make the cut. Religion has always been an easy sell. You can't feel, see, touch, etc a god so he(she)(it)(whatever) must be real. After all, if you put a picture of a dead person on a piece of paper and a number on each corner you can call it money and people will sell their soul it. Just take the situation to the next level. PT BARNUM had it figured out pretty well.

Why?
Because people make those wacky choices for themselves, God does not tell these people to kill themselves for His sake.
