Six months is cause for celebration ? Ok, well - if you've done the typical stuff, time to do the unusual. Singing telegrams, a calligraphied list of the six top reasons you love her, Book of Shakespeare Love Sonnets, a Treasure Hunt leading to an ID bracelet (with an inscription on the back, of course) - the URL is a website where people have shared their ideas on this "problem" - take a look and you may well find something that fits just perfectly!

I just celebrated 6 months in June. I found a book that only my bf could appreciate, and it's been a favorite for conversation topics at many parties. I also got him a small teddy bear (nothing too girly), and plastic "thumb wrestler" men that are in the shape of Star Wars characters. His gift for me was super, and could work well for both men and women. He gave me a single red rose, a movie that I have been looking for for a couple of years now, a letter telling me how much I mean to him (it made me cry), and a cd he made of songs that remind him of me and things we have done. It was very personal, and it showed me how well he has gotten to know me over the 6 months we have been together.
Find something that he/she likes and elaborate on that. Get tickets to see their favorite band, make a cd or go old school and make a mixed tape. Whatever it is, make it personal. Something they can look at or listen to or experience and think of your relationship.
Good Luck, and Congrats on 6 months!

Hotel? Maybe in the next city over? Have checked out Yahoo and search for "romantic ideas" etc. Some websites have some really great ideas. Have looked into some of the tourism websites for your city or cities close to yours?

id get him a watch, a nice one. cause if he wears it ever day then he will think about you everyday when he puts it on. Then you two should go out for a romantic dinner and maybe watch a movie at home afterwords.

6 months is a good milestone, but it's just the first of many to come, so cook him a nice meal, then set up a candlelit picnic in your living room and enjoy....

Quit trying so hard as you make even me nervous. Try taking it easy just go to a museum or old car show or something.

You could do the cheesy heart necklace with the key cut out... I got one of those for my birthday the first year we were dating. I still think his mom picked it out!

Well, take him to a sports game of the team he likes and buy him a couple beers, that'll make his day!
