Or in other words, aren't trying to tear it down by saying Joseph Smith was a false prophet and the Book of Mormon was a work of fiction, etc. I want a site that explains some difficult-to-understand LDS scripture and doctrine.

Those who aren't LDS, any good LDS sites will still be welcome, but they must be in the church's favor.

Gee, this is embarrassing: I'm actually LDS myself and merely wanted to know where I could get some answers that my scriptures alone didn't provide. Just so you know.

And thanks for all the answers thus far.

www.lds.org is geared mainly toward members, however, it has many links including the scriptures themselves as well as a link that has all of the church magazines, Gospel Doctrine (Sunday School class), and any other official church materials.

www.mormon.com is geared mainly toward non-members and may be more what you're looking for.

I also like www.meridianmagazine.com It is a great pro LDS website geared toward the member and non-member alike.

I don't visit it often, but there's www.farmsresearch.com F.A.R.M.S. stands for Foundation for Ancient Research and Mormon Studies. It's WAY deep.

Hope this helps.

UPDATE:
Just read your additional comments, and thought of a couple of more. http://www.ldsliving.com/Sunday.asp Is the site where Ted Gibbons has his Gospel Doctrine lessons. He's really good, if you haven't heard of him. And http://members.aol.com/acadac/talks/talk.htm is a site I stumbled across a while ago. This guy puts his talks on the web. I've found some great ones there.

The worst reason to go away the church could be that you've been "drained of it"or "drained of residing the way you've been taught", those motives could in easy words be second to "someone indignant you". I surely have despite the indisputable fact that troublesome about this and that i imagine a reliable reason could be that you locate something better positive and go away, without hate or malice, a collection of human beings that for the most area believe only what you probably did in easy words a couple of minutes till now. one of those decision is substantial and also you does no longer want to be hasty. i'm able to also see shifting a techniques sufficient faraway from what the church teaches that it does no longer be a reliable better healthful anymore. i imagine an outstanding style of prayer could be in contact. BTW 7 of 9, my daughter had a alluring, surprising, religious patriarchal blessing that she(and that i) will treasure continuously, it truly is between the too few religious thoughts in my existence that I carry expensive to me and that i'm sorry yours changed into no longer that way.

www.lds.org is the official website of the church. If you go to the gospel library link you'll see topical search. It will find a lot of general conference talks that include that subject. I've found it very helpful in answering my tough questions.

Best wishes.

I am LDS... and I don't know of many sites except the official Church site at:

http://lds.org/

there are links there for almost everything in our religion.

and if you can't find it... I think you can contact someone from one of the links to ask them questions.

I am not a Mormon, however, while researching it I found www.Jefflindsay.com to be the best pro-Mormon website.

Hope that Helps,

Josh K.

P.S. you should look into some anti-Mormon websites if you ask me...there are serious contradictions in my opinion.

The only website even promoted by the church is the actual church's website. www.lds.org
That is the only place where you will find accurate and correct information.
