Becoming a big drinker is an ugly painful process. The training it takes is far more difficult than some military training. Are you sure you can handle it?
First of all, go down to a local bar during the day so you stand a good chance of running into the real alcoholics that can drink for days and not get drunk. Ask them questions and see what kind of hard work they had to go through to get at the high level of drinking expertise that they have achieved. This is going to take dedication, hard work and one tough digestive system! Find your self a happy hour drunk and your problems will be solved.
Personally, i would love it if I could get drunk fast. I would spend a hell of a lot less money.

Nobody can train to be big drinker, in fact, big drinkers require less alcohol to get drunk once they're on that road to alcoholism. If you can drink a half bottle of vodka in 2 hours you should think about AA. Your thinking needs adjusting, get some help.

I really fear for your future. ... I see 6 Rehab stints and
years of in & out of AA meetings. 3 failed marriages and
2 kids whom you don't even know- but you could name
every single face that's come in the corner bar for 5 years.
A big drinker! You mean he's an alcoholic. That makes you
an alcoholic in training. Get help quickly. There's nothing
glamorous about getting drunk. You still will get arrested for
DUI at .08 BAL - even if you brag that your system can hold
3X that. Tell it to the judge!
Educate yourself. Get a good job. Find a nice girl and be a
good boyfriend to her. Don't drink. Go to some ACOC (Adult
Children of Alcoholic) meetings. You might see something that
you recognize from your past. You may meet some nice people.
My brother was like you. He was a allstar football player and
big keg partier. We buried him 3 years ago. He blew out his
liver. Nothing glamorous about that. He's dead.

Size would be a factor, if you gained a few pounds you might gain a little resistance, but not much you can do. Alcohol doesn't really push up tolerance levels like drugs do, and you'd probably pickle your liver and kidneys before you were able to make a dent anyway.
But there's really no such true thing as people who can hold their liqour, at some point you will be completely intoxicated, no matter who you are, and it doesn't take much but the difference is in how people can pretty much bulls*it that they aren't. It's all a machismo facade.

being able to "hold your drinks" depends on your weight and amount of alcohol. It's quite obv. that vodka has more alcohol by volume than a beer When buying alcohol buy something with a little less alcohol in it, you 'll be able to "recover " quicker. Just remind yourself that alcohol can be deadly and don't binge drink. Your body can only handle so much alcohol in a certain period of time and if you put too much in you in is going to come out in many ways which can be bad. Your body can not get tolerant to alcohol this is a proven scientific fact.
Remember that your body shuts down if you have too much!!! Getting sleepy, barfing, foaming at the mouth, etc, etc Are all signs of withdrawl

Okay, I know you wanted serious answers but why would you want to have to spend a **** load of money getting drunk when you can just spend a few quid. The novalty of been able to drink your mates under the table would wear off, you'd have a massive overdraft and you'd be the one that would have to look after the drunken retards that were once your mates EVERY night out.... mmmm, not worth it.

The "training" your wondering about is called tolerance. As you drink more your body builds up a tolerance to the alcohol. It takes more and more to get drunk. It can also work the other way, in that a person who has been drinking for years and years somehow develops a lower tolerance.

Why in the hell would you want to increase the amount of alcohol it takes to get drunk? That would make getting drunk a slower and more expensive process. It would also be a guarantee of health problems, liver and kidney disease and serious dependency issues. It's just ... it's the stupidest thing I have ever heard.
