There r also ppl who tipe like there y kei is broken (like, their rite "sexi" instead of "sexy" n "boi" instead of "boy") but their still better then ppl who ignores completely the rulez of punxuation and they have like 5 sentences b4 they use a period but worse still r u guyz who axually read dis untill thee nd cuz I guess u must b rilly bored or something kthx 4 listening bye!

Because they're not taught that grammar both demonstrates intelligence and increases it. The schools dumb us down when they don't tell us why we should study these two subjects, so even those who get high marks on tests just cram for the exam and don't retain any lasting knowledge. People get mad because they think you are referring to useless, temporary knowledge they were forced to do homework for. Instead of correcting people, I just use their mistakes as a sign that I should question the wisdom of their ideas. For example, when Dr. Laura made the mistake, "That's for you and he to decide," I started questioning her fitness for her job. I realized she just yells at people who like being insulted.

I read like the first ten words... and your spelling got me lazy to finish it.
So.. I basically only read the question. They get mad because you point at something even kids should be able to do properly.. and they can't.
Sorry I cannot comment about the rest of what you wrote... but if it is written that way... it sucks.

EDIT: LOOOL I just read about "some being dislexic"!!! LOOOL It is becoming a health problem! It seems 90 % of people on the net are dislexic then.

Because unless it is the subject of the question or the point of the answer... Who cares! This is not Eng 101 you know. Some of us simply lack in those areas of life and some of us feel the need to point that out to feel superior.

We all need one another I suppose. If we were all great at spelling and grammar you would have to find something else to harp on to feel better about yourself.

I refused to used the spell checker on this particualr question by the way...

One shouldn't criticize other's mistakes when they may make the same mistake sometime. Maybe other people are dislexic or don't know how to spell very well or know when to use punctuation. There may be several reasons for their anger.

people don't like to be corrected. i used to correct people all the time in real life, and they kept getting p.o.ed at me, so i cut down a little bit... people don't like being told they're wrong. and i've also stopped typing "lyk diz" because i found that it's extremely hard for some people to decipher. however, i don't enjoy using capital letters, even though i probably should.

Typos happen.

Get over it.

The impression I get is that if one cannot attack the argument, one attacks the spelling.

people don't like to be told that they're wrong.
my best friend checks my spelling all the time on AIM and stuff, and because of it she drives me crazy, but because of it i'm letting her edit my stories.
