I don't mean the occasional typing error. We all do that. I mean the deliberate.

And the funniest thing of all of this is that the only people offended by this are the ones that do it. LOL

I just gonna go right out there and say it.....these people are all retards. I know Im gonna go to hell for that but it is true. I hardly ever use spell check and I do a pretty damn good job. Not going to say that I dont make mistakes but DAMN. This crap is annoying as hell. It really gets my blood boiling. I always just retort to these people by typing like them and make fun of them while at it. I dont know if I even do it right. I have to really work hard to spell so terribly.

By the way Wendy, dont worry about the dress comment earlier in this post. I think you look hot!!

I've never seen so many bad typers/spellers as I have once I came online. The short forms of words that include numbers really annoy me, how hard could it be to type the actual word. People who spell stuff with a different letter, like your example of "gurl, girl" ... I guess thats a pronunciation show, but I still hate it. I type and speak properly and would love to have others do the same. Grammatical errors are another thing that annoys me. I understand short forms of words, and that's fine. However when someone speaks and you can hardly work through what they are trying to say - somethings wrong! Oh well, not like it's going to stop anyone though! :)

I agree.
Anything that forces the reader to decipher the question stands in the way of good communication. This includes bad spelling, improper punctuation and grammar, and "texting abbreviations" for perfectly good English words.

However, I'm sure you (and I) will get shouted down by the moronic minority.

some of it is just internet -style shorthand - makes for quicker typing. Some of it is just careless typing. The rest of it - like gurl instead of girl - those people are morons. It's proof that with public education - you get what you pay for.

Why do you care Wendy? Don't you think it is amazing how language can be flexible and still get the point across?
Oh wait, you probably don't care too much for evolution judging by the dress you have on.

One of the relative disadvantages of the 'net is that it facilitates hasty people. Many of these don't know or care what 'spellcheck' is.
Amusingly enough, many of these folks are the identical people who get vexed in the extreme when you fail to magically *guess* what they meant...after all, they *knew* what they meant...it's your fault if they *said* something different
I work with guys like this all the time...God surely loves them; He made so many of them. (lol)

I agree with you completely, I can't be bothered to even attempt to decipher those questions, especially the long winded ones.
