Goodness, spell check could be your very good friend! Do I believe that the bible tells the TRUTH or has it CHANGED FROM. Did Eve EAT the APPLE or could it have been a a plum?
The bible is true, there are many physical evidences to prove the flood of Noah and other biblical occurrences did happen. There are many chapters of the bible that are omitted from our modern bible, like the Apocrypha ( a collection of chapers omitted in the Kind James versions). The bible is a collection of historical & mythological stories.
The apple is a metaphor, there was no particular fruit that she ate; it could have been a peach or a lemon or an apple or a pomagranate.
Shroomie, read the book, it is the path to free yourself from a life without love. The bible is love.

There have been many speculations on the bible. But what I have recently read in a journal that Adam and Eve were placed in this planet by a much superior and intelligent civilization i.e. from another planet. This may seem non-sence to most of us, but according to theorists. Aliens from another world created a male and a female in their laboratory and after some tests they dumped the two in this planet which we now call Earth. It is of course written in some religious texts that God took six years to make humans and he rested on the 7th day. In other paintings, there are some scenes where Moses follows a glowing cylindrical object and someone handing out a scroll to him from a giant flat metalic plate from the sky. Well, I don't know about the apples but, who knows?!? Maybe the first couple did really do something which made the creator very very unhappy.

What I believe is that the bible uses believable stories to capture the essence of Christianity.
This means that the stories presented may or may not be true, but what is true-to me-is what the stories are attempting to convey. If they didn't have some underlying wisdom then there would be no point to reading the bible, or having a whole religion based around them.
People could argue for a lifetime about who ate the apple, the details surrounding it, etc. but the fact of the matter is that a)no one has any proof for their findings, because they weren't there and b)the point of the story is far more important than the vehicle that was used to get to the point.
If you consider this you realize that it doesn't matter if they are true or not. Of course they may have changed, they were translated out of Hebrew into Latin, into English, over centuries, between continents and cultures, by leaders, religions, and people. But one underlying truth remains, the stories' points and meanings remain the same.

Eve was blamed for original sin in order to subjugate women. The bible was written by innumerable sources with only one thing in common: They were all human. Religion is a comfort for those who can't grasp the idea that there is nothing after death. In ancient times, religion was needed to promote a certain moral standard, but now the world has no morals so it hasn't exactly worked and just causes conflict like undoubtedly this response will. When it all comes down, believe in what you want just don't force others to as well.

There is more evidence that the Bible has been perserved more accurately than any other historical document. A simple study of how oral and written tradition was carefully and meticulously passed down by the scribes will testify to the accuracy of the bible we now have. Be careful not to confuse the minor differences between translations and pharaphrases (two different issues) and the accuracy of the original and hebrew texts we now how.

The truth
And out of the ground the Lord God formed every [wild] beast and living creature of the field and every bird of the air and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them; and whatever Adam called every living creature, that was its name.
Leviticus 18:22 (Whole Chapter)
You shall not lie with a man as with a woman; it is an abomination.
Leviticus 20:12 (Whole Chapter)
And if a man lies carnally with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall surely be put to death.
Jeremiah 51:17 (Whole Chapter)
Every man has become stupid and brutelike, without knowledge [of God];
1 Corinthians 6:9 (Whole Chapter)
Do you not know that the unrighteous and the wrongdoers will not inherit or have any share in the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived (misled): neither the impure and immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor those who participate in homosexuality.
That's the original if you have to translate.

YES, I do believe exactly what the bible says...
i noe, sometimes, the stories in d Bible may don't make any sense to us, but just like ants can't understand human's way of thinking, humans are also can't understand God's mind...
we're only creations and He's the Creator, rite??
every time i read the Bible and i can't understand what It's saying, i just pray and ask God about it... and He'd give me an understanding in this supernatural way...
before i start reading the Bible, i always pray first and tell God EXACTLY how i feel about everything... when u open up yourself to God, He surely will also open up Himself to u... have faith!!

I believe the bible to be a collection of stories, an oral history passed down from person to person- each adding his or her own interpretations before being transcribed and translated, with even more additions and subtractions at each step of the process. The garden of Eden story is pure allegory.

The Bible is a combination of myth and propagandistic history. If you read it, you will see the fruit wasn't an apple; it was the fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. It is a way is saying that there are things we shouldn't know. As such, it is an evil story.
