How do you negotiate with someone who wants to kill you and wipe you off the face of the earth?

You defend yourself, and the best defense is a good offense.

Now, here are some other things to consider along with this answer:

1. The majority of people who are Muslim are essentially peaceful people whose goals and wishes are pretty much the same as yours. They are innocent of the crimes of Al Qaeda and Hezbollah and Hamas and the other crazies.

2. In much of the Middle East kids are taught practically from the time they can walk and talk to hate and want to kill. These people are as much victims as the people they kill are.

3. There are leaders within the Muslim faith who might be able to change this, given some time and support. We need to cultivate these people as much as we can. Some of them may not understand our military responses to terrorists.

We are--I believe--in World War III. Yes, I think Newt Gingrich got it right, as did many other people. We have to take these threats seriously. We are closer than most people realize to losing Europe to a Muslim takeover, and when reasonable people scoff at this notion all you need to do to realize there's truth to it is to visit Europe.

A basic tenet of Islam is to spread the religion to the world. We have a similar tenet in Christianity, however Jesus preached love, not military action.

It is a military challenge, but it also a challenge to educate Americans and Europeans at the real dangers this could present.

In the United States we allow pretty much any religion to set up shop, teach people, and practice their faith as long as they don't engage in criminal acts or hurt people. This is the most reasonable approach possible, and most American Muslims practice in peace and don't bother anyone.

That should be the goal for the rest of the world as well.

Also, just as a point of clarification, I think a whole lot of Muslims would be pissed to find 72 Virginians in Heaven waiting for them instead of the virgins. I guess if they were the "right" 72 Virginians, they could technically make the grade.

Bring the FREE WORLD to bear on them. Unite as a whole culture against anyone who is a rogue nation or terrorist organization, and wipe them out: no money, no aid, not comfort, no trade, just big weapons samshingthem till there are no more faces. Take no prisoners.

Very "strenuous" negotiations are called for with substantial incentives to all terrorist groups AND nations. In other words...give them an offer they can't refuse. Heaven is just about out of virgins.

You can't negotiate by diplomacy. You can only negotiate on their terms, which is to the Victor Prevail. The world wins when they are all dead. That is the only way....and they have chosen it and said it.

I'll be curious to see how the Liberals handle this question. To them, it is possible to sit down and talk with anyone about any problem. I'd LOVE to see them try to sit down with people who have no value for human life. Assuming they wouldn't REALLY get blown to pieces, I would like a front row seat to that farce. Think about it...it would be a REAL eye-opener for them. I think they would most likely be scared to death. They SHOULD be.
