Not really. He could be any color of skin, hair, eyes, etc. God said that he made men and women in HIS image, which means we all resemble him, including his son. But, it doesn't really matter. God doesn't care, and neither should we.

What that standard "Jesus high school graduation"picture that everybody has hanging on their walls? He was a Jew which made him Jewish, which back then was more of an Arabic look especially since he was from Jerusalem. He probably had a dark complexion, brown, eyes, brown hair. Jewish people are considered "white" in USA now, but I really think he was considered a Jew, which is a race of people just as Caucasian or "white" is a race of people.

Nope, He's tan. Jesus was portrayed as white because the Europeans back in the Dark Ages only knew ppl with white skin. Jesus should have looked like the ppl in the Middle East, with tan skin.

Of COURSE NOT! A Jewish Man?
ps-- none of us are!
" What colour of skin did the man known as Jesus Christ have ? "
A -- No problem ! I can answer you. Your answer in one word "Brown" !
All the people on this planet Earth are descendants from the first couple -
Adam and Eve. We are ALL just shades of that same colour !
Hold a sheet of Real White and Real Black paper up against your skin.
I can tell you "for certain" that your skin colour matches neither of these
paper colour samples. We are all "off white - or - BROWN !
WE ARE ALL OF THE SAME COLOUR because we are all indeed
descendants of that couple. Because of protective pigmentation we
are of different shades indeed.
What a beautiful example of how OUR MAKER designed us and built
a protective system into our skins to protect us from the suns rays !
Few people realize that The Bible does not say anything in opposition to
what is referred to as "mixed marriages". This is precisely why.
If "mixed marriages" do not work in our society, as it is today, it is because
of the arrogance of man. To "prove" superiority they often use gross
misinterpretations of Bible passages or misapply a Bible passage to
make it look like it proves them correct.

He is Jewish, which at the last census was considered white. He was probably somewhat dark-skinned, since Jewish people of that day were, and because He spent the majority of His time outdoors.
Lately, the creative arts are getting a little less creative about this.

I don't care if He is or not. If we were made in God's image---then that gives people the right to believe that God looks like them. Historically, Jesus came from a region where the people are not White. So, the answer has to be unequivocally-----NO

I think the line in the bible describing his hair as like spun wool is very interesting. He very likely could have been black. And how about this: His teaching suggest he studied what would later be known as Buddhism. It would explain that big gap in the bible where he disappears when he's 13 and reappears when hes 27.
Each culture draws their god to look like them. Don't know why renaissance art gets so much respect, but you shouldn't take it so seriously.

the pictures usually depict him as more european than he really would have been
smart money says Jesus was olive skinned and a few painting depict Him as very semitic looking
truth is... no description in the Bible of his looks other than the beard... it was not considered important and the looks we focus on are pretty superficial anyhow and not that helpful

yes....I mea...he was from Isreal..so yeah....his skin color was pretty much white......and I know that other people think he was black....which I believe is not true.....you see...there are different theories as to how the world was created....the science people believe the first person on earth was black and the white person was just a mutation of the black person....some how that information got to people and people started believeing that if the first person on earth was black....then gosh God musn't have been too!.....but I don't believe that's true because that's the SCIENTIST theory...and most of them are athiests.......now the religious theory is that the first people on earth was Adam and Eve........well if God lived in Isreal...then he had to have had white skin.....don't get theories mixed up

No. Considering where he was born and raised, I don't think he was white, but it doesn't matter to me no more than it matters to Him that I'm white. He made us through Mom and Dad and "knew us before we were yet formed in the womb".
