I'm shopping for a digital camera right now and am really confused. I don't know if I should get just a digital camera or a comcorder? And I don't know which one to get?!! This will be my first camera, so I want one that will work good but is not expensivse. One that is not too big, but not too small. And one that is easy to just take it and go. I'm not looking for something that will shoot professional pictures just something that will shoot nice ones, so that I can remember the good times =D. So please let me know what you would think would work best for a teen, and maybe give me links to a site where I could find the camera or camcorder that you recomend.

Digital cameras generally take pretty poor videos, sometimes even limited to just 30 seconds.
Camcorders, on the other hand, generally take pretty crappy pictures.
You'll have to chose what's more important to you.
If you decide on a camera, you can't go wrong with a Kodak EasyShare or a Canon PowerShot. They have several models to chose from.

I would suggest a Kodak. I read some feedback here that is critical of Kodak however I have a compact Kodak with 6 megapixels and 3.2 optical zoom that takes absolutey great pictures, is very easy to use, and pictures can be printed at least 8x10 (probably larger) and remain sharp. So if you want easy to use with good results, go Kodak. I have purchased 5 or 6 digital cameras so I'm not new to this. I have a Sony 12X zoom which is great but not as easy to carry around. My problem is how fast technology improves - I always want the latest.

Take great pictures right out of the box with the Olympus FE-140. Its Built-in Help Guide will steer you toward the perfect mode for capturing the perfect results, results you can print in a snap - or rather, a press - with just a touch of the Easy Print button. You can even share pictures and short movies amongst friends and family on the camera's big 2.5" LCD screen, instead of waiting to download them to a computer first.
BUILT-IN HELP GUIDE. With the press of a Help button, get brief descriptions of each camera's features. Or use the tutorial to help you quickly choose the ideal setting so you get the best results.

EFFORTLESS PRINTING. Connect to any PictBridge-enabled printer and turn those pictures into great-looking prints with the touch of a single button.

2.5" COLOR LCD. With this big screen it's even easier to preview, frame, shoot and share pictures, not to mention use the camera's menu when necessary.

DIGITAL IMAGING STABILIZATION MODE. Take a crisp, clear picture with high sensitivity and fast shutter speed even if your subject is moving
