No. Because both countries (the Netherlands and United Kingdom) are with the European Union, you get a free pass...no visa required.

Of course, this is only if you have a European passport. - you did not specify which country you hold a passport for.

One great benefit of being part of the EU is that there is no longer a need (for a EU citizen) to carry a passport. However, if you are from a country which is not part of the EU, be prepared to present your passport at every port. As a US citizen who lived in Germany for four years, I rarely carried it. There were few border crossings between countries on the European continent. But the one trip I made to England, I had to show it before boarding the ferry and when I got to Dover...but not on the return trip...go figure! Be careful to not show it unless necessary and keep it safe...passports...ESPECIALLY US passports...are a very valuable commodity these days!

Contact your embassy and they should have the answer. It all depends on the country you are visiting and at different times of the year and what country you are a citizen of (whether it be Holland, Scotland, or some other country).

No. Holland is a member of EU and UK is a member, too. So, you don't need visa.
