Wow, and here's me thinking that a rainbow is an optical and meteorological phenomenon that causes a nearly continuous spectrum of light to appear in the sky when the Sun shines onto droplets of moisture in the Earth's atmosphere.

Oh wait, I'm sorry, I was using science to explain a rainbow...I'll refrain from using that and go back to basing my life on myths.

But to answer your question with another question...what doesn't offend "Christians" these days? Are they just too afraid to turn the other cheek, or has that mote in their eye gotten so big that they can't see anymore?

Offended? No. Christian? Well, ok, not so much, but it IS annoying when someone co-opts something to represent them and then people start thinking it's always just representing that group! Think Crips and Bloods and blue and red. How obnoxious is that? I mean, is the Greenpeace Rainbow Warrior, now the gay Love Boat? Err... on second thought, no snickers from the conservative peanut gallery on that one, ok? Ok, maybe a little.

Anyhow, my point is, you don't have to be Christian to find it obnoxious. Then again, I find a lot of those bow and ribbons for this cause and that kind of pointless as well since blue, yellow, and pink seem to get recycled into meaninglessness. As for rainbows, I would have expected rainbows to represent something more like multiculturalism or racial diversity or something like that.

If a Christian is comfortable and strong in his/her faith than they should not be offended. This world has a long history of perverting what is pure and good into something that is far from it. We live in a fallen world and Its not a Christan's part to get offended and upset because we are not ignorant to the facts. Homosexual behavior is a sin but God did not come to stick up for what he believes or try and keep all his symbolism intact, He came to save. He was not constantly caught up in arguments about how people offended him, he was spit on and ridiculed and he was not offended. Was Jesus offended when he was given a crown of thorns? Probably not because he was aware of the peoples ignorance, his heart and mind was fixed on something much bigger than his pride.

The same things can be symbols to
many different religions and or groups.

A rainbow is a fact of nature. Water
in the atmosphere and refracted light
create a colorful pattern of visible light.

If you feel that the cause of a rainbow is
a divine promise, then more power to you.

Well, I don't think Christians are offended, because they say "Oh my God!" each time they see a homosexual.

I suppose that's why homosexuals chose the rainbow as logo, in memory of what Christians keeps telling them.

It is just a logo. They obviously aren't Christian people, so it's just a picture for them. They need to read the Bible a little more to find that it is suppose to be 1 man for 1 woman. But, that's another question for another day.

I'm offended that they chose a rainbow because children love rainbows. I'm offended that the word "gay" no longer means happy.

Yeah, homosexuality is despicable and is not a lifestyle. They should adopt the graveyard or a tombstone as thier symbol.

Maybe it's a sign that God's not going to detroy the world with rain but with homosexuals.

I sincerely hope so. If there are any other Christian symbols I can ruin by practicing buggery in close proximity to it, please let me know.

I love how Christians think they own the rainbow. Just because it is there. Well, I claim marmosets! They are MINE!!!!
