Lemon juice will lighten you hair, but depending on how dark your hair is it may turn out orange if you do it to often. Just do moderately. Vinegar strips the build up off too. So wash with vinegar first then while wet, use "Real Lemon" from the bottom and comb it thru your hair. Lay out for a while in the the sun and be sure to rinse out when done.
Also, lemon juice will get bad smells out of your hair such as campfire smoke and anything else that may have attached itself to your folicules and pores.

Lemon juice really works...just get the juice from 2 or 3 lemons...and put in in a bottle under presion(like the ones used for sprays) and spray it all over your hair...it gives it shine to...and let it to do the work for about 1 hour...by the way spray it on wet hair(not to wet case to much water will dissolve the acid from the lemon juice) and then wash your hair and use a conditioner for shining hair...this will pump up the effect...i do this once a week...good luck...

Lemon juice. You can put it into a spray bottle and add some water. Spritz it on. Then you'll have to be out in the sun for it to take effect.
The only other thing I've heard of is Chamomille tea, but I'm not sure how that works. You might want to research it...
Best of luck!

My friend would put lemon juice on her hair and go out in the sun, and it worked for her. You can just go out into the sun too without the lemon juice, which also lightens you hair, just not as quickly I'm sure.

Sun is the only thing that will naturally lighten hair. Do NOT use lemon or sun in or anything like that. The reason these products lighten hair is the acidity. Acidity will eat away at your hair and cause irreversable damage. If you want to go a few shades lighter, ask your stylist to color your hair. It will be an easy process to go a few shades lighter, and shouldnt be too expensive!

Lemon juice works but just plain old water works too. If you sit out in the sun with wet hair and let it dry it will lighten if you do it often enough. You can use Sun-In too.

Sun, Hydrogen Peroxide and Citric Acid (lemon juice), Chlorine
Just a note...if you have medium or dark hair, these will all remove the color in your hair slowly leaving you quite orange...you are better off getting your hair colored properly by a professional. They also damage a lot if they are used repeatedly or for long periods...hair color uses a peroxide developer, but it's one application and the damage is much less.
