you can get serious side affects from eating only once a day, trust me. What I was told was eat small, and I mean small healthy things all day. (handfull of carrots, some grapes, sm-med fish fillet w/ some rice for dinner, probably 4-5 times tust me it works) Think of your body as a fireplace if you only eat once the fire will burn out, or if you put all your wood in at once it won't burn all the wood either.

Eating only one meal a day slows down your metabolism, which means when you do eat more than one meal a day you will balloon up. Eat 5 or 6 small meals a day. Eat lots of lean protiens like chicken or fish bc the are more filling. Good Luck

Well, that depends. Are you only eating ONE meal all day long...or are you eating three meals a day...2 fat-filled meals and one healthy meal? Either one of those options are bad for you...but obviously the 2 fatty would be much worse...need more info...

One meal a day will put your body in starvation mode. When you don't eat your body thinks it is starving and will hang on to the fat you already have. It is better to eat 5 to 6 small meals a day than 1 big meal.

If you replace one high fat, high calorie meal per day with a low-fat, high fiber, low sugar, low calorie meal, it will benefit you BUT only if you do not make those calories and sugars up throughout the rest of the day. Otherwise, you're just shifting the time of day you eat the junk.

However, you will not lose weight unless you eat less than 2,500 calories a day and exercise. That is the bottom line.

Eat three healthy meals a day and exercise, that is how to loose weight.

It may just hurt you because your body will retain as many calories as possible thinking your trying to starve it.

Try eating four tiny healthy meals throughout the day instead. That way your body actually gets what it needs and the frequency tricks your body into utilizing MORE calories!

I eat six small meals per day. It helps to jump start my metabolism and I don't drink sodas anymore. Also,if you go to a sit down restaurant, drink two glasses of water after you order your food. When it comes, give half of everything to someone else. This way,in your mind you ate what you wanted but you didn't eat as much.

I've actually heard that if you eat 5 small meals, you are more likely to loose weight. You're supposed to eat:

Breakfast:
Lunch:
Snack:
Dinner:
Desert:

Also, don't eat after 7:30 pm
