Definately whole grain breads: they fill you up and satisfy your craving for bread faster than white bread so you eat less.
The only thing my mother would use white bread for when we were growing up is mixing with water and using for paste or to make beads with - form around a small stick, let dry and then paint. It really works!

Whole wheat or whole grain. Read the label. Many times the package will say WHEAT when in fact it is disguised white bread.

whole wheat or whole grain breads. look for ones that say whole grains or 8 whole grains and make sure you read the ingrediants label. some manufacturers try to trick people.

Whole wheat is my favorite healthy bread. Whatever you get, make sure it says whole grain, not multigrain. And the first ingredient should be "whole grain wheat" or whatever grain it is.
