Nearly two-thirds of the world's HIV-positive people live in sub-Saharan Africa, although this region contains little more than 10% of the world's population.

When are blacks around the world going to start taking control of their African brothers and sisters rather than relying on whites like Bill Gates and Bono?

Education about venereal diseases is not as prolific in African countries as it is in America or European countries. Add to that the fact that civil war propagates rape and you add a whole new component to the picture that doesn't exist in most other nations in the world.

Africa has more war-torn countries at any time than other continents in the world. And African soldiers and rebels are renowned for their sexual abuse of women. I would be curious to see what the numbers are for cases of HIV in Africa that were contracted via consensual sex vs rape/sexual assault.

When I was a corpsman in the Navy, I was told that in the case of AIDS, wearing a condom was like putting a gauze pad in front of a semi. It's not just blacks, sweetie, it's ALL races that need to take control. This is why God wanted us to be pure until marriage.

The people in Africa are not educated about Aids. And if you don't know how to prevent spreading the diseasee then you spread the diseas. I think it's okay for The people who can afford to help do so. We are all Christ's children.
