Bread is delivered fresh to the stores five days a week? Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday. And each day has a different color twist tie. They are:
Monday - Blue
Tuesday - Green
Thursday - Red
Friday - White
Saturday - Yellow
The colors go alphabetically by color Blue - Green - Red - White - Yellow, Monday thru Saturday. Very easy to remember.

They have something to do with the day of the week that the bread was baked. I don't know the color code, but someone does.

I can never remember what color goes with what day... it's alphabetical. So if I am buying bread late in the week I want white or yellow. If it's early in the week I want blue... see how it goes?

From my experience, colors are there just to add a variety of color and hold NO SIGNIFICANCE EXCEPT... if in the U.S., it is for the 4th of July, then the red, white, blue colors would be appropriate and would hold meanings.. in Germany, for example, the colors of the German flag would hold significance BUT.. in general and beyond a particular country's colors, they are just to add color.

its like stop lights: green means eat, yellow means eat quickly, and red means it might be bad in a few days but eat it anyway!
