I did 20 yrs in the Air Force and I never regretted a day of it. I traveled around the world and made friends in all countries. I enjoyed traveling in Asia better than Europe and I enjoyed Japan and the Philippines the most. I was a fighter jet mechanic so I got to work closely with a great group of people (pilots and mechanics). I won't say I was the best mechanic in the Air Force but I was one of the best because I worked the best. Choose wisely and good luck.

The Air Force has the advantage because the recieve the most money. They are way more Women friendly than the other branches. When I was in the Air f Force in Hawaii I had my own place (with Maid service) on the inlet to Pear Harbor. It was great. I was also in the army ( after 9-11) and we stayed in barracks I am sure they would not have stayed in even in WWII. The equipment was terrible. the Air Force has the best of everything.

The Air Force is geared more for people with a higher education level. If you want combat action, I'd recommend the Marines. If the water attracts you, I'd recommend the Navy. If you need to choose between prison and the military, I'd recommend the Army.

Simple break down of the millitary:
Navy bombards anti-aircraft from a distance so the air force can bomb.
Air force bombs the heavy enplacements and provides recon.
Marines move in and suck up the remaining enemy bullets.
Army moves and and sets things up in the aftermath and fixes what the maries shot up.

I think the air force is the best decision that anyone interested in the military can make.

I'm not in the Air Force, but this should help. Take the ASVAB test(if they still call it that.) to see if what your score is.Your high school counselor should have material about this test.
The higher your score the better job in the Air Force you can get.Unless you like loading bombs.

well if you want a military "civilian" job, its a good choice
If you want to not sleep in the mud, its a good choice
if you want to be in a part of a branch that is run more like a damn business instead of a military force, its a good choice
i'm in the air force and i love but, but there are just a bunch of little things that nag the hell out of me

You couldnt pick a better service to join. the airforce really takes care of its people. If you do decide to join, its the route i would take if i had it all to do over again.
