I'd like to get a pup but since i'm not home most of the time it has to be a breed that's low maintainance and does not shed hair or drop salaiva all over the place...also since i'm in India the weather here varies between very hot n humid to very cold in a year...!

I recommend that you do NOT get a dog since you said you are not home most the time. What would be the point? How is this good for the dog???? Be responsible and get a stuffed animal. And since you don't like hair or saliva, you cannot be much of a pet lover anyways.

I agree, you are probably not ready for a dog. But whoever says that pugs do not shed...it very wrong!! Poodles, Shih Tzu, Bischons etc do not shed. They have hair not fur. A Pug is not in that group. Pugs also have very different personalities and will punish you if you leave them alone all the time! Please think it through carefully before getting a pet. It is a 10-20 year commitment. Unless you are ready to make that commitment, please don't make an animal suffer.

I wouldn't get a dog at all.It doesn't matter what breed or size it is,why do you want a dog if your hardly there.Any dog will want attention and some form of exercise as well as going to do its biz. Also if you do get a pup who's going to house train it if your out most of the day?

Dogs are very high maintenance pets. They require a lot of attention, training and friendship.... Perhaps you might need to reconsider your choice of pet or wait until you have time for Dog.

Jesus!!!!! If you are not home most of the time...GET A PLANT!!! It is so unfair when people get a dog KNOWING that they are not home much!! If you have to get something, get a cat!!! Dogs need attention and human interaction!!!!!!!
