And why doesn't google or even wikipedia give me an easy definition?
My optician has just told me i got one, she said it was hard to explain, drew me a not very good picture but i would like to know some more.

astigmatism!
It means that your eyes are rugby ball shaped and you need a combination of lenses to correct your sight instead of standard ones! Its nothing to worry about i think that it looks kinda attractive gives your eyes an almond shape!

It means your eyes are rugbyball shaped and not round.
My daughter has this and does wear glasses but our optician has said that contact lenses are easily available and even laser surgery.

well astigmatism is an irregularly shaped eye. so perhaps antistigmaism is shaped wrong in the other direction? I hae never heard of it before. Maybe you can call another eye doctor and ask him if he has heard of it. Make sure you aren't getting ripped off for something you don't need.

astigmatism is when your eyeball is not shaped round,but shaped more like a football.
I have the same thing,it's no big deal !

you spelt it wrong and it's a funny shaped eyball, no big deal, i think it's more oval shaped than round, i have one and need different contact lenses ( toric )
