No, not even close. America may not be doing all it can politically and diplomatically to stop the violence in the Middle East (particularly Israel, and Lebanon). However, they are by no means the cause. The tension between Israel and their neighbors has been high since the state of Israel was formed after the conclusion of WWII (even longer...way longer historically). Their will always be violence and war in the Middle East until either the world finally starts supporting Israel and not placing the blame on them for everything. Or if Israels neighbors are allowed to achieve nuclear capacity, at which point it is very likely that that Muslim nations surrounding Israel will attempt to eliminate them as a country and as a people (not all Muslim nations wish this, just a select and radical few). So no, America is not the cause of the Middle East war, but we (our leaders, politicians) are not attempting to curb the violence too quickly (may even be best to simply stay out of it....there needs to be a distinctive "winner" in the Middle-East so there isn't such a power struggle any longer....its ridiculous really.

Check your history books. War has been going on in the middle east for longer than America has been around. Christians and Muslims have been invading each other and making war for over 2,000 years. The French have waged war there, the English have waged war there, the Americans are just the latest. The cause of the Middle East Wars is the idiotic belief that one religion is superior to another. So far all I can see in recorded history is turmoil and human suffering caused by this misguided conception. That is why the absolute law should be no religion should be involved in any form of Government, and that includes George W and the religious Christian right.

No of course America is not the cause of the middle wars not is cnn a baston of truth.
Cnn sells news and truth is second to profit.
Religion is the root cause of the middle east wars. Religion, the muslim men's need to hold women in comtempt, and slavery, and proverty with little education is the cause of middle eastern wars.
The are all basically the same stock. Most arabs are white in race as is jews and they allonce lived in the same area and were related by birth. The occupation of the jewish lands began the jewish religion(not a true race), and the interference of mohamand with his blood thristy wars of religious conquest resulted in the middle east we see today.

As an american citizen I think that you have a point to a certain extent. To say that one side of the war is worse then the other is wrong the whole war is what's wrong. To many in the Mideast, america is the terrorist. Obviously both sides of the conflict are equally to blame. Lest we forget not that long ago the americas were supplying Saddamn with weapons and cash to fight the Iranians.

America is not the cause of the war, but we sure do not help it.

First of all, let's take on the issue of Isreal.

If you read the different Bibles of the different religions - Koran, Tora, and yes our Bible - you will see the strip of land being battled over has been promised to all these religions and people.

This is the promise land for them all. Unfortunately, they will not compromise. YOU mush do research and read. *********

This is only a cut and paste from the resource mentioned below-
The Philistines reached the southern coast of Israel in several waves. One group arrived in the pre-patriarchal period and settled south of Beersheba in Gerar where they came into conflict with Abraham, Isaac and Ishmael. Another group, coming from Crete after being repulsed from an attempted invasion of Egypt by Rameses III in 1194 BCE, seized the southern coastal area, where they founded five settlements (Gaza, Ascalon, Ashdod, Ekron and Gat). In the Persian and Greek periods, foreign settlers - chiefly from the Mediterranean islands - overran the Philistine districts.

Another resource tells of a 1930's act -----
The 1937 summary report of the Palestine Royal Commission (aka the Peel Commission) conducted at the request of the British Government, contains the following:

"Under the stress of the [First] World War the British Government made promises to Arabs and Jews in order to obtain their support. On the strength of those promises both parties formed certain expectations...An irrepressible conflict has arisen between two national communities within the narrow bounds of one small country. There is no common ground between them. Their national aspirations are incompatible. The Arabs desire to revive the traditions of the Arab golden age. The Jews desire to show what they can achieve when restored to the land in which the Jewish nation was born. Neither of the two national ideals permits of combination in the service of a single State.

The conflict has grown steadily more bitter since 1920 and the process will continue. Conditions inside Palestine especially the systems of education, are strengthening the national sentiment of the two peoples. The bigger and more prosperous they grow the greater will be their political ambitions, and the conflict is aggravated by the uncertainty of the future. Who in the end will govern Palestine?"
1937 Peel Commission Report

This is only on one part of the Middle East. There are several countries to consider. Iran and Iraq as well as Kuwait I believe, were once called Persia. Saddam molded himself after Stalen. There are reports in Sadam's private libaray, Stalen's "little red" book was found. Read up on how Saddam treated his people.

I am not saying we should or should not have gone into Iraq. Money and Oil was at the base of alot of this. But, I think of the inocent people Saddam hurt during his time. Yes, we helped him into office. We provided him money when he was low level and in Egypt.

Whether we should be there or not, I do not have the right to say. I do know, we have no right to tell people in the middle east how to live. Thier way of life is so much different than ours, thier values are extremely different as well.

I support our troups, but it is time for us to leave. It is time to let them deceiced thier own future so we can take care of our own country.

That could be the case if some other country gets involved in this conflict. The U.S. may have to help its friend Israel. If the U.S. gets involved that may mean we're heading for a third world war.

not really...

America is helping israel keep on its toes but it is not responsible for the war itself cause the war was going on for ages, buddy.

Just read that book called "Understand the Holy Land" and you'll see who's responsible. Good luck!
