i have had many...after my siter's grandpa died in dec 2004, about a month later 1/26/05 me and my uncle and mom were watching ''The Village''. i went to use the bathroom and when i came back, they were looking out the window like they'd seen a ghost. they said they'd heard 3 footstpes on the porch and then saw a shadow on the porch bench. the porch gate was locked, so it couldn't of been our dogs. i was freaked out, so my uncle had to walk outside to his house (in our backyard) to show me not to be afraid. about ten minutes later, me and my mom heard 3 footsteps in the kitchen. till my moms bday 3/5/05 id seen plenty to know phillip was there. id heard heavy breathing behind me when no one was there. id wake up really early, like 4 am to hear someone pacing in the next room. all id have to say was 'phillip' and it'd stop. then id have a conversation with him.the day he left i was taking a shower a shower (the door was locked) and i heard a nose. i figured it was no big deal.

Spirits do exist.... not that I believe them to be the actual person. My story is when I lived in a house that was built in the 1800's... it was HUGE (like 3500 sq feet- 3 levels and a outdoor cellar)... my girlfriend and I rented it because I had a friend that told me about how it was great house and cheap rent for the space. And it was absolutely gorgeous! All original mahogany woodwork, stained glass windows, a parlor with 11 foot tall doors, a maids quarters... crazy! It was picture perfect of a Victorian home.

Newho... so we had been there some time and weird things started happening (lights being on that we didn't turn on/footsteps/voices on lower levels, etc), but my friend and I always thought it was the other person, or we were going crazy and never mentioned it to each other... UNTIL....

It was Christmas Eve, we had some people over and watched some movies... one in particular The Cell (freaky movie!) and finally went to bed around 1 or 2am. Well, at about 4am my friend comes flying up my flight of stairs... I lived on the 3rd level... asking me why in the world was I trying to frighten her and her sis (that had stayed that night)!! I was in a dead sleep and explained that I had no idea what she was talking about. Her face went so pale... she told me, "get up, now! someone is in the house"

We run down to her level and lock the door... she and her sister proceed to tell me that they were awaken to a clear rapping on the door, not once but TWICE. Just in case, we did a check of the whole house... no one there, but the house was eerily cold!
We started sharing things about the house, with... what about? Did you do ...? Needless to say, we stayed about another month and moved out!! It was too weird and you always felt like there was a presence watching you, plus the house would get freaky cold and we figured it just wasn't worth it... .neither one of us wanted to stay there by ourselves anymore... our Victorian home became a Victorian nightmare! LOL

I worked for the Santa Cruz California Beach Boardwalk Security for 4 years. The park is really old and has a long history from the 1900's. The Boardwalk has a ball room where events and school dances are held during the year. I worked the Graveyard shift and my duties were to patrol the building. I once walked to the attic and heard foot steps following me. The building was empty. I walked out door I felt as if someone was looking at me.

The building has many other weird things that go on. If it's quiet enough you can hear music coming from the stage area. Sometime you can see shadows walking around the dance floor.

It has been said that a small little girl died when she fell from the ball room balcony. You can hear the little girl walking around the balcony (near the attic).

There is a small balcony that has a table for two and it is always cold.

Equipment, lights, stoves, turn on by themselves.

You can hear people walking by the backstage hallways.

The place is really old. The Boardwalk it self has many more stories, even the main Parking lot. Our Security Office is located on the main Parking lot and I have had the main Security door shut on my face. That freaked me out. I love that place and I am glad I was able to experience that weird phenomenon.

This couple moved into an apartment and would see shadows of a grown man with a little girl. The woman's mother came to visit one day and said she felt a presence and she felt someone touch her arm when no one did.

The couple went to the management office to see if they could dig up some history on the apartment. They found out that there had been a fire in the apartment complex and in the apartment where they were staying a fireman had tried to rescue a little girl and they both died in the fire.

I get goosebumps thinking about it! This couple is my boss's friends.

Yes. I lived in a haunted house for 18 years. She was quite friendly but for some reason stood in the upstairs corridor so that we walked round her on the way to the bedrooms.

My eldest daughter died in the morning and abroad. That evening I felt she came to me. We didn't speak, just hugged each other. She's never been back, but we had taken out leave.
Sceptics may say that I already knew she was dead, but it was a very real experience.

I'm not sure if this qualifies, but my grandmother has a lamp in her living room that belonged to her mother. When her mother died, she kept the lamp. Now, every once in a while, the lamp comes on all by itself. Even though it's a touchlamp, nobody is around when it happens. It happens most often on my grandmother's birthday, Christmas, and New Year's.

Yep, when I was preg with our 2nd child, we would hear the sound of someone walking on that fake grass carpet... We would hear it all night long. You could walk down the hall and a cold breeze would rush by. My husband was walking into the kitchen one night and something touched his shoulder after he heard the walking in the hall way.. LOL, he left the house doors open and all. After my son was born I came in the house and said..."Dee, it was a boy and we named him after you... its ok, we know you are here and thats fine"... (Dee was my grandfather) Havent had it happen again...

We also see small child size images go across our hallway... one day a friend of mine saw a small boy run into the living room with a ball... wasnt one of my kids...If my kids arent home, you will hear some of the toys moving and making noise...

And my best 1... My friend, my son and I were going to Wal Mart... at the same exact time my friend and I looked at each other and said.. did you see that shttt? We both saw the images of an older man, beard, gray hair and glasses.. I saw it in my rear view.. she saw it over her shoulder... My son was in the back of the van, he must have seen it too because he wouldnt ride in the back any longer.... and oh......
I had went to the store one night and a lady came in freaking out telling the store clerk that someone had left their children in a brown van..(yep, my van, kids were at home) they clerk knew it was mine and just said ok... I looked outside and the lady was yelling into my van.. please stop, your gonna get hurt.. .. NO ONE WAS IN IT.. I, being a smart butt, walked out to the van and yelled, alrighty spirit friends... sit down and shut up or your going home with her...lol

yea my mom told me about this lady who used to go in the graveyard and throw down some pennies onto a grave to call up ghosts. She used to quote a psalm from the bible backwards i think. One time she did it she couldn't put him back down and the ghost beat her all the way home. My uncles used to fight with ghosts and i saw them when i was younger. I dont have enough time or space to tell you some of my ghost stories.
