make it cheap if u want to save.. in 36 hours or less, you get to HK from Beijing. The trains come in soft or hard berth. Soft berth is more expensive, hard berth a lot cheaper, but u have to share an open compartment with 5 other bed spacers.

soft berth is private room with 3 other bed spacers. i usually pick the 6 bed hard berth bec there are more air circulation...and the beds are not that hard to sleep comfortably.

You can either Fly, or catch the train

The train might be a nice way to see some of the chinese country side on your way to HK, but will probably take a couple of days.

Cathay Pacific, Air China, Dragonair and China Southern all fly daily from Beijing to HK.

airplane and i think, train (you might want to go on an airplane, because their trains are pretty dirty) some airlines that go to hong kong from beijing are: Cathay Pacific, Air China, Eva Air, China Southern Airlines, and Dragonair

You can fly, which is most convenient, or take a train. The train is prob two days long while flying is approximately four hours. I have heard the prices are about the same for each method, so unless you want the experience of traveling by train then I recommend flying.

Many airlines fly this route....buy the ticket
in China not in North America as the price is
about 4 times cheaper .....600RMB vs $400 us.
