Because He said so! Ephesians 2:8-10 says " For it is by grace you have been saved (forgiven) through faith and this not from yourselves it is the gift of God - not by works lest any man should boast." Also, Romans 4:22 says " The rightousness in God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all those who believe. There is no difference, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Jesus Christ."
So basically what they are saying is that since Jesus died for us on the cross we will be forgiven if we know that we did wrong and ask for forgiveness. Jesus took the worlds sins upon himself by dying for us. He forgives you as soon as you ask for forgiveness. Part of being saved is knowing that He will forgive you no matter what you do because He loves us enough to die for us.

The Bible clearly states that he wants al to be saved and have the chance at everlasting life. Therefore, if u have sinned and have asked for forgiveness from him; make sure that what it is that you did, you are no longer doing; because an apology is not genuine if we still continue to practice the same behaviors...If you are truly changing the action that caused u to have to ask for his forgiveness; then rest assured you will be forgiven.

What difference does it make...you'll continue sinning and continue to be forgiven...that's one of the hypocritical issues built into the religious systems. Bottom line is to enjoy your life...minimize your sins by living with respect to others and the environment; loving those closest to you; having compassion/empathy for those that are in need or needier than you are; and supporting SECULAR charities that help others. In the end it'll be humanity that'll judge your legacy so live as outlined and that judgement will be favorable. PEACE!

When you feel the guilt from your sin and look upon Jesus in faith, your sins are already forgiven. Jesus already shed his blood to give you forgiveness. We are forgiven by faith, nothing else has to happen.
Matthew 26:28This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.

You don't really know. But you keep trying to do what is right, and continue to ask for forgiveness. We sin without even knowing it cause we're imperfect. But the Almighty has the power to read your mind and heart and can tell if you're truly repentant. God-willing, He'll forgive you.

well, the Bible says that when you ask for forgiveness God forgets it, as far as east to the west. don't let the devil try to keep the past holding you back for what God has instore for ur life He FORGIVES AND FORGETS!!!!! that what you should do too.
and remember no body is perfect so we ALL make mistakes.
Romans 3:23 For we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.

According to the Bible,
1Jo 1:5 Now this is the message we have heard from Him and declare to you: God is light, and there is absolutely no darkness in Him.
1Jo 1:6 If we say, "We have fellowship with Him," and walk in darkness, we are lying and are not practicing the truth.
1Jo 1:7 But if we walk in the light as He Himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.
1Jo 1:8 If we say, "We have no sin," we are deceiving ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
1Jo 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1Jo 1:10 If we say, "We have not sinned," we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.
I do not believe the Bible mentions a waiting period anywhere; there is the issue of sincerity however.
1Jo 2:1 My little children, I am writing you these things so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father--Jesus Christ the righteous One.
1Jo 2:2 He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours, but also for those of the whole world.
1Jo 2:3 This is how we are sure that we have come to know Him: by keeping His commands.
1Jo 2:4 The one who says, "I have come to know Him," without keeping His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
1Jo 2:5 But whoever keeps His word, truly in him the love of God is perfected. This is how we know we are in Him:
1Jo 2:6 the one who says he remains in Him should walk just as He walked.

from the moment of birth. But religion will try and take that away from you. remember..... you use to feel free, uncondemned. but now ... not so. jesus said to become like a little child. be born again. unlearn what you have learnt, and start again. come out of the cave and into the light.
