What if he had asked you to? In the newly found gospel of Judas it is supposed that Christ asked Judas to betray him, so I wonder, if you follow his word and have never met him in the flesh (where as Judas had), would you be able to do this if he asked it of you?

would i be Judas .. yes i probably would
i am answering as a non christian but i have thought about this alot
and i feel had Judas not betrayed Jesus then the prophecy wouldn't have been fulfilled .. so Judas in a sense was completing what was supposed to be done anyway

The gospel of judas has been shown to be historically inaccurate at best, and written so much past the time of the actual cannon that it is a bit laughable.
It was reconstructed in 2006, which makes it questionable. Gnosticism is recently very popular but popularity does not make anything true or real.
You could for years go into any bookstore and pick up copies of any extra biblical books that are not in the canon. No one really cared because it was boring until Dan Brown sexed it up.

What do you think the Pharasies told Judas as they talked with him? Do you think that perhaps they convinced him that if he turn in Jesus then the execution would be swift. And maybe they convinced him that if they had to hunt Jesus down then they were going to torture him to death...

Do you really think that one of Jesus' Deciples would sell him for 30 pieces of silver? Yes, that was probably the reward for his capture... and Judas probably received it because that would be "the law" as far as the Pharasies were concerned... (they offer 30 silver for Jesus, you turn him in, you get the 30 silver whether you want it or not, you can do with it as you please after you receive it)...

WE will only know after the resurrection.

quit with the "what ifs" ....they're a waste of precious time...He would never ask that of me because He would never want that in the first place...and absolutley NO....I would never betray Christ...there is nothing anyone can offer me for me to compromise my Christianity and my faith...Christ is and will always be number one in my life over anything and everthing in this physical universe
