This world will never be at true peace. Only when God creates a new world will there be true peace. Right now we need to pray for the peace of Israel...as Christians we are grafted into the lineage of God's chosen people. As peace comes to Israel...so will the quickening of the day Christ will come back for his church.

No. I guess that I am not. I don't think that this is the time for peace. There is too much evil around for that. I think that evil is feeling a little cocky these days. It needs to be removed.
I think that these things that are happening these days are End Times events. We have the Red Sea parting 26 feet in 3 weeks and that fault line goes through Israel ( Zechariah 14), I believe that we have the enemies of Israel ready to jump, and our technology can support the Mark of the Beast exchange.
I think you are a believer: this is not Gloom and Doom. It's the End of Days. The world won't end soon, but the world as we know it will. God said it would happen.
So what do I pray for? All those that I've harmed. All those that are His. Rescue from my own stupidity. His will. More faith. The Troops abroad. Those kinds of things.

I'm a Christian. Jesus said that there would always be strife and wars. He said that we shouldn't let that sway us from the belief that one day every tear would be wiped away. World peace may not be achieved until the last days when men will be drawn to a false religion and a false savior.. ie. the Antichrist. The bible tells us that they will be fooled into believing a lie! Prayer changes things but it will also change the way we view the world around us. God said that if His people who are called by His name would humble themselves and pray then He would hear their prayers and heal the land! PRAY PRAY PRAY and PRAY but we must also be humble. God bless!

No world peace for me. World peace shouldn't start with God. It should start with the human race putting aside our differences and working together to make this world a safer and cleaner place to live. If we're doing all the wrong even the small things add up to being wrong why are we asking God for forgiveness and faith when we don't learn from out mistakes and end up making the same mistakes time and time again. If we don't have faith in ourselves how can we have faith in God. It all begins and ends with us. God just provides opportunities, it is us that acts.

Darby is right man has free will and through the ages has not used it wisely. It is not God that does these things, it is us. God gave us free will in the hopes that we would choose a better path. Obviously, we did not
Yes constantly, my 16 yr old has plans to join the marines after graduation in 2008. He has planned this since he was 8 and this war has not changed his mind. I will support his choice but even now my heart is breaking.
So, yes, I pray every day all day long. Not just for my son, but for every mothers' sons. For every child that dies. For every fathers tears. And I also pray that everyone out there puts aside their arguments over the existence of God and pray he does exist because I would not be surprised to meet him any day now.

I don't think "peace" is in the cards, per se. As long as humans have to compete for limited resources, they will fight each other. Even if there weren't religious wars, the "have-nots" would eventually rise up against the "haves".
On the other hand, if collectively we could hit upon a way to trust each other enough to eliminate all miliatry spending worldwide, think how far that money would go toward providing a better lifestyle for all people.
Where I work, we make a computer security product, and it got me to thinking recently how much of all human endeavor goes toward protecting ourselves in one way or another from other humans - military spending, locks, borders, walls, guns, passwords, encryption, alarms, security services, bodyguards, copyrights, patents, lawyers, etc. not to mention the emotional energy spent on worrying about our safety and security. When you think about it - protecting ourselves from others is among the largest drains of human effort. Think what could be accomplished if humanity didn't have to spend any money protecting itself from each other.

I do. What Psalms in particular. God does hear, but man still has free will.

I Pray God is in control ,and for his Will to be done, this looks like prophecy being fulfilled. I don't want to get in Gods way . Those who are suffering need lifted up in prayer. And our Christian Leaders though there are few Need guidance.

There are to many radical groups in the world and that includes Israels government.
But we can keep praying, I just wish that our leadership in the US wanted peace in the middle east.

It sure doesn't seem that way. We've become a pretty bloodthirsty country since Mr. Bush's crew took over the whitehouse. I think he's got some bug up his butt about trying to start Armeggedon. What a waste of 8 years.
Remember when we used to be "peacekeepers"?
