I'm a citizen of Trinidad & Tobagao officially, a trini in the local dialect.
It's a twin-island republic, just off the north coast of Venezuela. I live on Trinidad, the larger of the two islands. Trinidad is more industrialised that Tobago but it as laid back.
Trinbagonians, can and will find any excuse to party and lime. We are very social and will talk about anything under d sun if we r so inclined...it's called ole talk, and be ready for a good debate if u start us up.
Another thing we do alot is 'maco'..it means being farse, or minding other people business! We notorious for that.
But seriously, if you want to expereince the best of Trinidad come around Christmas into Carnival. The best of Tobago, come for Tobago Heritage time.
Hope this helped.

I was born and raised in Trinidad but now live and work in Tobago!
I love Trinidad for Carnival, shopping, Maracas Beach, bake abd shark and pineapple chow.
Tobago is more the "tourist destination" lovely beaches, some just minutes away from each other, fantastic waterfalls in the countryside, nature trails, "Sunday School Party", crab and dumplings, bake and flying fish, curry, Carib / Stag beer, beautiful scenery andsome of the most friendliest people in this world.

Born and raised Trinidadian. I love everything about Trinidad and Tobago. The people, the festivities, the scenery. The positives definitely outweigh the negatives.
