If Israel did not defend itself and left its security in the hands of the U.N.???? It would cease to exist in a matter of days.

If Israel didn't attack, Hezbollah would still be firing missiles at Israel, like they were before Israel retaliated. There wouldn't be peace between Israel and Lebanon. Besides, Hamas is fighting Israel seperately. Even if Lebanon is taken out of the picture, there wouldn't be peace.

I suppose that would depend on whether or not the militant factions in other nations would stop encroaching on Israel and kidnapping Israeli soldiers.
I suppose that would depend on whether or not other nations like Lebanon would ever get the gonads to do something about the militant factions within their own borders THEMSELVES, instead of letting those factions encroach on Israel and kidnap Israeli soldiers and then crying when Israel decides to do something about it.

This is a "what if" question. Israel has no choice but to fulfill Biblical prophesy. Prophesy cannot be changed by men or women---it must be played out according to God's plan. We may not liker it, but that is the way it is.

NOT UNTIL JESUS RETURNS. we people are given to too many emotions, i.e. jealousy,bigotry,etc. The only time this earth has experienced true peace was in the Garden of Eden. But we know how that turned out.

i think the real question to be asked is, what would have happened if Israel had not bombed the gaza beach, thus sparking this war.
