Most hangovers happen because alcohol tends to dehydrate you. You need to get water into your system. If you drink a big glass of water before going to sleep, it goes a long way toward preventing a hangover. When you wake up, drink plenty of water and it should go away fairly quickly.

The hair of the dog that bit you ACTUALLY WORKS!! Of course, it leads straight to alcoholism if you lose control of it and start having TOO MANY hangovers.
I know a sot who built a sucessful business and at age 45ish took to letting his manager take over at noon while he (the owner) goes to a pub, has lunch and then sits in the bar EVERY afternoon boozing. He has a $30-$40 a DAY habit and is gradually ruining his life. He ALREADY is TOTALLY DISAGREEABLE as he insists on a particular chair and a particular place at the bar (he asks people to sit somewhere else since that sport is "his" when the spot is taken at the end of his meal), can talk about nothing but himself (even when he asks you about yourself, his next statement begins "I..." and that's the end of "you" for the next half hour, badmouths anyone who doesn't play his game BEHIND THEIR BACKS, and is otherwise rude to anyone he considers his inferior.
SO--digression notwithstanding--avoid hangovers. Drink moderately or you will end up like the bozo I just described.

First off, to all the individuals who said Stop Drinking: Go Away. She asked for a hangover cure, not your Moral Imperative.
Secondly, 2 aspirin and a big glass of water before you go to bed. That has always helped me. Either that, or another beer when I get up, also stops the problem.

Don't wait til morning, take the alka seltzer before you go to bed.
Or drink a large glass of water before you collapse.
You might also like to know that if everything spins as soon as you lie down, try putting one foot on the floor. It stops the room going round. No, I didn't believe it either, but I tried it and it worked. No good for those sleeping on the top bunk.

I used to be a party girl but I grew up, well ok just a little bit! I used to go out alot and the next day was usually a Sunday so we used to go the Mexican store and have a bowl of Menudo. Believe me it looks gross but it really works. If not go to Jack in the Box and get 2 reg tacos and a vanilla milkshake and dont forget to take 2aspirin.

No such thing as curing a hangover.
One thing you can do to lessen your chances of having a hangover is to stay hydrated. If you drink an alcoholic drink, drink a glass of water next, then continue that process throughout the night.
The main key is to not drink too much and to stay hydrated.

I'm telling you this WORKS!
