What are the results of buying a puppy from the national kennel club?

The National Kennel Club (NKC) is just a registry like the American Kennel Club (AKC). The difference is that NKC will register and allow dogs that do not fit the standards called for in a purebred standard to show. For example, NKC will register and allow albino dobermans to show. That is not allowed in AKC. All purebreds are either in-bred or line-bred to some degree. This is not a bad thing, IF the breeder knows what they are doing and has studied her lines very carefully. Breeding is not about just taking two dogs and throwing them together. We (purebred breeders) breed ONLY TO IMPROVE THE BREED.

It is a registry set up to accomodate the puppymills and breeders who can't or won't meet AKC's recordkeeping standards. Reputable breeders will not register anywhere but AKC or United Kennel Club (depending on the breed). In Canada we use the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club) which is not to be confused with the Continental Kennel Club in the US (also a sham registry).

Registries like ConKC and NKS have very lax standards, for example to register a dog with the ConKC all you have to do is say it's a purebred and voila, they'll register it as that breed. Therefore the "registration" means nothing.

From the Continental Kennel Club website
"If other kennel club papers are not available, the dog owner must provide two witnesses who can verify the accuracy and truthfulness of the information listed on the application. When using the witness option, your dog must be at least 6 months of age and you must submit 3 photos (front, left & right) of your dog with the application. If any of the information listed on the application or the photos submitted are challenged, the dog owner agrees to bring forth said witnesses.

6. CONTINENTAL KENNEL CLUB accepts registration applications and issues certificates based on the honor and integrity of the owner/breeder applicants, and CKC accepts no responsibility for any inaccurate, false, or fraudulent information submitted on registration applications. ""

This site is an excellent take-off of sham registries...

If you're talking about either the Canadian Kennel Club or American Kennel Club they don't now, nor have they ever sold dogs. The most they'll do for you is provide a directory of breeders in whatever breed you're interested in.

The ignorance of most people when it comes to purebreds is truly frightening. Purebreds are not necessarily inbred, nor does inbreeding in and of itself cause problems. The problems arise when back yard breeders who know nothing whatever about genetics or they're dog's history, pretend they're breeders and produce a litter from dogs who have serious problems.

in case you opt to register pass forward yet frankly i does not complication NKC is a pup mill and BYB registry and basically isn't nicely actually worth the paper its written on. so a approaches as pedigree this is in basic terms a remember of ways a approaches it may pass decrease back 3 technology could be decrease back to large grand mothers and dads 4 to large-large grandparents and 6th to gggg grand mothers and dads. back frankly i does not waste the money as maximum breeders making use of NKC are probably to falsify information so it might desire to no longer be precise besides Edit: If the breeder suggested the dogs AKC registrable then she would desire to have became over the guy registration (aka the blue slip) that ought to enable you to register your dogs. If she does not turn over the blue slip or sign over the papers of the dogs became already registered then you definitely can no longer register the dogs with the AKC

It's A FAKE/CON/SCAM!!! Like APRI & aka & ckc(continental KRAP club)on & on.

ONLY for CROOKS -who UN-ABLE to comply w/AKC's STRICT registration policies-to "register" JUNK!! MUTTS/MONGRELS/mixes/crosses..whatever!!

IF you're foolish enough to fall for it...you'll STILL have a P-O-S. Might as well draw your own w/a purple crayon;it would mean just as much.

AKC is the ONLT REPUTABLE REGISTRY in the US. PERIOD.

In order to breed show dogs, there was a lot of inbreeding. That inbreeding has led to a lot of health issues in pure bred dogs.

Poop, whimpering until the dog gets used to you and its surroundings, fleas and ticks, hair, demands on your time and lots of other stuff, too.
