We like sex so much because of all of the hormones that are released during the excitement stage.
Also, as a society, we like things that feel good. Most of the time, sex feels good.
We are nothing but animals, so there is a natural instinct to procreate (or at least do the deed)

Are you kidding? The pleasure of sex is another one of those things that differentiates us from the rest of the animal kingdom.
Humans, as we evolved, discovered that living as in a group is necessary for survival. Procreation is also necessary to pass on genes and therefore the group's survival.
Some where in time, the act of sex had become pleasurable. It was not something that had to be done in a certain season or time of year. Females humans are able to reproduce every 28 days. It solidified those bonds within the group, which also assured off-spring, a mother to care for the children, and a father who literally brought home the meat.
With higher testosterone levels in the males, sex was (and still is) on their minds 24 hours a day. So to have a partner willing to mate in exchange for a nice slab of mammoth meat and a night's sleep at a warm hearth, the human race flourished.
Over the eons, various cultures have refined the act of sex to highten its pleasure. So why deny that pleasure?
Other cultures, on the other hand, made sex a religious taboo except under certain strick guidelines, as in marriage.
Sex can be a tool. A very powerful, manipulative tool. It needs to be enjoyed by both partners to keep the family group intact and therefore raise a new generation.
