In the current conflict in the Middle East, there has been a cease fire recommended for the countries involved. Does anyone know (assuming that there has been a cease fire enacted), if Lebannon has proposed anything for the prosecution of the Hezzbola fighters there, if they continue to launch at Israel after a cease fire? Assuming that Israel does eventually agree to a cease fire, would Lebannon be in the position to prevent harm from coming from their borders, or would they be hands off to Hezzbolah?

That's why the U.N. has been there for the last 25 years. This time Israel is demanding a multinational force with enough clout to help the Lebanese government remove Hezbollah operations from all civilian areas -- homes, schools, mosques, etc.

Lebanon would at this stage be unable to disarm the Hezbollah

This is the rub. A 'ceasefire' will only last until Hezbollah re-arms.
