Is it true that you shouldn't put an open tin can of food in the fridge?

Yes because it's a haven for bacteria.

Food should be taken out of open cans before refrigerating, though most cans are no longer made from tin.

I have done it before, but find the can usually gets knocked over and then you just have a mess in the fridge.

I have heard that too.....it is supposed to release some kind of toxin....I always thought it was stupid!!LOL
