You need a minimum of 7-9 hours of sleep a night for your body to rest and repair itself. Any less than that and your health will suffer in the long run.

Keeping on a sleep schedule helps make your quality of sleep better too. Go to bed and wake up at the same time every day, even on the weekends.

Most people really only need 2 to 4 hours sleep a night. Waking up is the hard part, but beyond that you function normally until late afternoon or so. Drink a coffee or power drink and carry on.

Thats like asking how to reduce fat w/o a work out or a diet. Good sleep is essential for you to be able to work to ur fullest. sleep at least 7-8 hrs everyday. erratic sleeping can also drain ur energy. so try to sleep at the same time everyday and get up at the same time. once ur used to the rhythm, u'll find that u wake up fresh and energised everyday...u wont feel sleepy thruout the day.

watch your patterns and sleep to them, our sleep cycles last 45 minutes, therefore you should plan to wake around about a 45 minute cycle, if you wake up and you are still tired, set your alarm 15 minutes later or earlier the next morning and see how you feel, after a while your internal clock will adapt to your sleeping pattern and it will be easier. you should sleep at 7 and a half hours a night and this falls into the 45 minute cycles.

I heard 20 minute power-naps help to boost your energy, but hey, who can guarantee that you'll actually fall asleep within 20 mins? Best bet, if you have to wake up early, go to bed earlier than usual

yoga.. starting with deep breathing. it is said the body needs little sleep. REM cycle occurs because after some time, the body becomes tired of sleeping, so it begins dreaming, and then back to deep sleep when it is tired of dreaming. therefore with sound and quality deep sleep, one can avoid the REM cycle entirely.

You should not do that. Sleep as importance in life is right up there with getting enough water and food. You will start to decline in your functioning abilities.
