CERAMIC!!!! It distributes heat more evenly and it is the only one I will ever use again! I use one by Conair ($25). It has 25 heat settings. Since my hair never straightens on "high" or "10" with other straighteners, that is a big help. Oh, and I also use Sleek Look by Matrix shampoo and conditioner and I am addicted. This stuff is a little pricey though ($20 per bottle) but soooo worth it! I actually paid $25 for a pair of liter size bottles on special at a salon.

Had a cheap ceramic Revlon straightener to begin with but it fried my hair. Have since replaced it with another ceramic straightener purchased at Sally Beauty Supply. It works great!! I looked for the brand name on it but all it says on the handle is "Porcelain series". This one runs very hot so I don't have to use on high setting to get the results I want.

If you mean appliance, try Chi ceramic. You can buy this from ebay for 1/2 the price in retail stores. Also, use VO5 heat protection before your apply the straightener. This will make your hair silky.

i use a conair gold ceramic straightener. it works very well and it has 0-25 heat settings so you can choose how hot you want it. it wasnt expensive either. i bought it a little while ago, it wasnt more than $25-$30. use straightening cream before you straighten it though! or else your hair will get damaged. good luck! =]

Ummm not sure what its called i think you call it wet to straight and its located in any CVS anyway you wash your hair put conditioner in it you know wash the conditioner out then when your hair is still WET *(i think this is awsome)* You use the striaghtener and it drys it and straightens it at the same time one less thing to do after you take a shower!! Hope this helps

frizz ease is good for straightening your hair as well as frizzy hair. Bur the best is to invest in a straightening iron - it works miracles........all of them work pretty good but the prcelin one is the best...........You can get them any were and it straightens in sec. Try Target or Sally's

I use titanium tools.

Check out Sally Beauty Supply. The good ones are around $50. but they're cheaper than most places.

I have one from Walmart called Wet to Straight. It is a flat iron you can use when your hair is wet or dry. It worked great for me.
