Yes!
They are double-coated, so they shed all the time, and then twice a year they shed even worse.
The shedding can be minimized by frequent brushing, but nothing will stop it completely.

This is definately TRUE! I have a Pomeranian who actually isn't as full coat as most, but he sheds a lot. I found a brush at Petsmart that has a moist padding so when you brush them it grabs the hair better and you can switch out the pads every so often. It works wonders. I use it about 2-3 times a week. If I don't keep up with it though, he has hair all over the place. The beginning of the summer is the worst. Just keep him/her maintained and they are fine!

My friend has a Pomeranian and a Chihuahua and I have not noticed any hair at all. She brushed it and hair comes off on the brush put they do not shed otherwise.

No Pomeranians do not shed alot surprisingly. Usually the short hairs animals are the one's to shed alot. For example dobermann's

Pomeranians don't shed alot, they shed their undercoat seasonally over a few days, but that's it. They don't shed much because there hair gets matted easily, so you need to brush them at least once a week.

My Pom does no shed a lot at all compared to other dogs. Brushing would definatly help.
