One of the things you could do is look at a color wheel and choose the opposite, which is called the complimentary color. The other thing you could do is choose an adjacent color, called the accent color. When I look at the variations of the coffee color you chose, which is a version of (red/orange) the opposite or complimentary color is blue. Now, I have noticed in fashion and design recently the light baby blue/ or periwinkle color of blue has been paired with the taupes and browns. They really do look nice together and painting your walls blue is very calming. Go to the local Home Depot or Lowes and go to the color paint section and many times they have one of those computer systems where you can change the colors on the walls to see what it would look like. Here is also a quick tip, get lots of variations of those little color chip cards, bring them home and tape them up on the wall so you can see them at different times of the day and at night with the lights on.....stand back and see what colors look best, because blue has hundreds of hues....you'll want to look at several before actually painting all the walls. You could also try getting 2 shades of blue, one much darker and painting one wall darker, which would be your accent wall....usually the wall with the window. Then, splash some green accent with live plants or a fake bamboo tree! Sounds like fun. P.S. Don't forget the aromatherapy to add to the relaxing environment found at my website, I suggest Lavender.

It is important that the color in the different rooms around the house come together logically. Analyze each of the tones; determine which colors, and in what proportions, they complement each other to give the final result.
Here are ten household helpful hints for choosing room colors:
1 Brighten up the darker spaces by painting the walls in pale colors.
2 If you paint a high ceiling a dark color, will make it look lower.
3 A light blue or a gray make a small room seem wider.
4 Use the wall colors to mark off areas according to actives.
5 Red and reddish tones are bold, exciting colors which stimulate movement. They are especially suitable for work areas.
6 Yellows are warm, bright colors, ideal for dark spaces to make us feel cozy.
7 Green is essentially linked to life; it reminds us of nature and is perfect for interiors we want to connect with outside.
8 Blues are fresh, harmonious, and easy to combine. They remind us of vast extensions of sea and sky.
9 To make a room more radiant, you can paint the walls in light colors and introduce dashes of color through the furniture, complements, and ornaments.
10 Neutral colors like beiges and browns combine well with other tones and give the room a natural feel.
Color is clearly the most visible linking factor between separate rooms and is ideal for giving consistency to the decoration scheme of a whole house.

it depends on the size of your bedroom, if you have a small bedroom you don't want dark colors it will make your room look small, but what you could do is go for a brown color that matches your comforter and paint 1 wall that color as an accent color and paint the other walls on the bottom part that brown color and a tan color on the top, its really cute like that , that way you will have all the colors that is in your comforter on the walls and then you could bring other colors in your bedroom with accessories...........

I like a burgandy color. They call it Red Velet. I just painted it in my kitchen and put a boarder over it, chair height (3 ft ). It is so pretty, I have seen it also in a bedroom , looks so nice, This would bring out the colors from you new bed acc. I got it at lowes hardware. They have a good selection. You could go with a light purple or yellow. But look at you carpet if you have some see what go's with it. Good to use a artifical plant or 2 also in bedroom. Good LuckPem

you have so many options...
think of all the different colors of coffee... dark and rich to pale and filled with cream.
whatever you place with it i would keep it in a warm tone.
if you like it dark in your bedroom go with darker muted tones that compliment the espresso bed. browns, golds, rusts, greens perhaps painting the trimming in white or cream to set it off.
if you prefer it brighter and cleaner looking go with something in a creamy latte color.
check the site below, and click the Explore Color link. there you can place your own colors in and find complimentary colors in lots of differing styles. it might give you some ideas you'd not though of before.

There are many lovely tans and beige's, go to Home Depot or Lowes,or any paint store you have around your area, and get the different paint cards, with their colors, they will also show you what to trim with, we just did our living room in a shade called,Sandy Cove, which is very pretty.

I really like the way chocolate brown and turquoise or sky blue combine.
There is this website where you can experiment with a "color tool kind of program" that shows you the various effects of colors in your rooms.
Go to http://www.benjaminmoore.com/ for ideas.

I really like the way a pale turquoise or aqua color looks with that. If you add a few turquoise throw pilllows to the bed, it will tie the colors together.
