Well, I got a better one which makes a lot of sense of what the Word Savior mean, Which you know the meaning, but to refresh you mind, here it is. Also, It is not spelled Saviour, it is (Savior) without a U.

A saviour is somebody who rescues somebody or something from harm or danger - Encarta.

Jesus being the saviour means he saved us from ignorance, sin, unrighteousness and the evil that surrounds us.

now dear, i wouldn't be joking about such serious issue. if someone took your precious name and made fun of it, will you be happy?

the meaning of "SAVIOUR" is what a saviour means and nothing less than that.

I bet Jesus will be disappointed to hear you make such mockery of His name, but he is merciful and kind to forgive you, so ask for forgiveness so that you will be free.
God bless you.

Grace unto you, and peace, from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

It depends whether you're talking Saviour of the world, or of some only, such as Saviour of Israel only.

If talking Saviour of Israel (Acts 13:23), then as "Jesus", such division-all law law 'stands' for "high" things (law and lie) rather than "higher" things (grace and truth); And so we're told: mind not "high" things, and "be not high-mindead" such as a dividead God on "high" in the divided "heavens" is high and highminded, or even as the new "high" priest thereof such left/right law/law divided against itself is high and highminded; And notably talking "Jesus": "standing" right of this God on high in the heavens (the false God of false/true Gods, this of this/that Gods, high of high/higher, high and mighty Horeb-bull). This is notably what Stephen saw in Acts 7, and it notably got him both cast out and stoned(lawed) to death.

If talking "Saviour of the world", then as Christ: the end of the law, and in Christ (in him there is no law = no sin = no death = no hell following) we (true Christ-ians) are spiritually seated right of "that God" in "heaven": "higher than the heavens"; and such "Christ" of "Jesus->Christ" is notably "Saviour of the world"(not of some only). And to wit: "that God" was in "Christ" reconciling "the world" unto himself("the God of all grace", "the only wise God" of foolish/wise Gods, "the living God" of dead/living Gods)

If talking "God our Saviour", then notably two things are required:
(i) all men saved(only), by grace(only) "AND"
(ii) all men aware what they're saved(delivered) from: law

Our Father, deliver us from "evil".
We are delivered from the "law".

The "grace" of our Lord Jesus Christ with you all. Amen.
